I have drop box installed on my PC windows version 10 and have managed to drag two of the stories from my downloads on the PC into the drop box app. Although I thought they were being compressed the files were showing their original size after the
manoeuvre was complete. I got an elongated file name which although did include the story name was what I was to use to send as a file to another person. Is there something I am not doing or is this the norm. Please?

Hey Rainbow1, thanks for posting here!
If I understand the situation correctly, it sounds like you wish to compress your content, before uploading to your account and then sharing it with others.
Provided you have a different issue (with the file name for example) don't hesitate to correct me.
Keep in mind, that Dropbox doesn't compress your files. You'd need to use a third-party app or site to compress it.
I hope this helps!
