Receiving Videofile (apple iphone recorded) from another Dropbox user?

Another Dropbox user sent to me (via Dropbox) a videofile she recorded using an Apple iphone.  It didn't get received and posted to my Dropbox account  folders.

Do I have to prepare my Dropbox inbox with some get-ready steps?   If yes,  what steps?

Or,  if it didn't get to me from her Dropbox account because of incorrect addressing,  what should I tell her to do for another try?

I would also like to ask if my receiving it is pending because my account capacity is too low?

Thank you.  - Musicguy172

How was it sent to you? If she just sent if via a shared link, it wouldn't be added to your account. You would just click the link she sent you and you'd view the file on the Dropbox website. If you're signed in to the site, you'd also have the option to add the file to your own account, assuming you have enough space.

If you invited her to a shared folder then she would have the ability to upload the video to the folder in her own account, which would then sync to the folder in your account.

The other option for uploading a file to you is a File Request, where you allow someone to upload a file directly into your account.

So it depends on how the file was shared and whether she initiated it or you did. If you just want her to send you a file, a File Request would be the easiest method for her to upload a file directly to your account.
