Because you are in a shared folder. Shared folders use up everybodys quota.
If you need just access to listen to them ask him to send you a shared link instead.

I have a similar situation. How do I get rid of the files CURRENTLY filling my Dropbox, which are from my corporate account?
If I try to delete them, the message I get "Do you want to delete these files for everyone", implies that if I delete them from my Dropbox, I will delete corporate files.
I don't really understand how these files ended up in my personal dropbox at all. I figured the app was smart enough to give me a consolidated view of both of my dropbox accounts.
