Win10 Machine - Copy Dropbox-link (inexplicably) gone
Hi,
As the subject line says, the Copy Dropbox-link option is gone.
Installed latest version of Dropbox, everything looks synced and nice.
Only way to send a link to a folder or file is going through the online-hassle. Windows Explorer no longer shows the Copy Dropbox link when right-clicking. Tried accessing the Dropbox-files both through the Quick Access shortcut and the other (more tedious) way, same result.
This is a major productivity drawback.
BTW : Also unlinked and re-linked the machine, no result.
Any other suggestions?
Hi,
not sure how 3rd party apps would affect the missing link-issue.
I did not disable any other apps , but I have completely removed Dropbox from my machine (uninstalled it through Add/remove programs).
A fresh installation (after restart) solved the issue I had, the "Copy Dropbox link" field is now back and working properly.

To Whom it May Concern, When I go into a specific file of Dropbox and right click it to the dropdown menu, where I would select "link" to send a plan link is not appearing? I am not sure what happened?
Thank you!

Hi JRMarc, thanks for posting here today!
It sounds like you're using our website, when trying to create shared links, and the content menu isn't visible there. Can you confirm your device's OS and the app's exact status and version as shown in your menu/task bar?
Have you rebooted your computer since you first noticed this? If you have any screenshots, feel free to attach them here.
Keep me posted!

Hey there TopCat23, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you please clarify your device's OS version and the version and status of the desktop app as shown in your system tray as well?
If you could also send us a screenshot of what options you're seeing when you right click on your files in the Dropbox folder, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
