Dropbox says over storage limit when I try to upload to a shared folder
I have an empty Dropbox. See screenshot below. When I try to upload a shared folder Dropbox is saying my account is over the limit. I don't have anything in the backups folder either. Any ideas on how to resolve?

Have you accessed the shared folder yet?
The wording on it is, and always has been, awful. If it says, for example, you need 1gb of space it means 1gb of MORE space - i.e. you'd need a quota of 3gb free to access it (the 2gb on your account plus the 1gb needed).
