How can I use a 2TB plan with a 256GB laptop?
Hi, just trying to get my head about how I use a 2TB plan when that will not fit on my laptop which is 256GB. I want to use Dropbox for the usual stuff (whatever that means) but also to store system image backups of my laptop. Each image will be approx 150GB. They are too big to be mirrored to my laptop all the time.

Hey Allen D.2, thanks for posting your query today.
In this case, you'd need to first sync these files and then use our features that help you free up hard drive space.
With selective sync you can remove entire folders from your Dropbox folder, but keep them available on dropbox.com.
With a paid account, you can also make both files and folders online-only, which turns them into placeholders with no physical size.
You can read more about these features here.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
