I can't add/edit a shared folder, as I don't have enough space left. Why is that?
I received a Dropbox invitation to edit a folder. When I click the link it tells me I don't have enough storage space and need to change my subscription?!?

Thanks for posting here, islaw.
When adding a shared folder to your Dropbox account, keep in mind that it’ll take up space, just like the rest of your files/folders. So, if you’re currently on a Basic plan, for example, it’s possible that you won’t have enough space to add this folder to your account.
You can double check how much storage you’re currently using by going to your Plan page here.
One solution, in this case, is to upgrade your Dropbox account indeed. The other is to download the files you want to edit, edit them on your computer, and then upload them to the other user’s Dropbox account via file request. This won't affect your Dropbox space at all.
I’ll be here for any further questions.
