Message that I have exceeded my storage limit, even though I deleted a lot of files

I am receiving a message that I am using 101% of my storage.

When a deleted more than 1.3 GB of files my "storage used" did not change.

I have deleted everything but 1 file, 1 Photo, 1 App- 1Password.

  • Hey HPR1, apologies for jumping in!

Can you also send me a screenshot of what you see here and here, so that I can have a visual?

Do you have any external drives perhaps that may be backed up to Dropbox? This feature is different to computer backup, so this could be a possible explanation why this is happening.

Let me know when you’ve got more updates.

Hey HPR1, thanks for taking the time to reach out to our Community.

Can you check what the plan tab in your account settings is reporting? Is it possible that it's shared files taking up your space?

Do you also remember turning on our backup feature, perhaps?

    Keep me posted.

I have the 2GB Free Plan.

I have deleted myself from all shared files.

I only have the one App - 1Password which have have had on Dropbox for years and never had a problem with storage.

How do I get a fix to this instead of upgrading?
