How can I access the files of another Dropbox account without going over-quota?

I had another organization share their drop box with me and now I am out of storage because of it...   What did I do wrong?   Can I still access it without all their files taking up space on ...

    You can remove the share at www.dropbox.com/share but to get a shared link you need somebody who has access to the share to send you it
