Can't install Dropbox on Mac

Hi, I had Dropbox installed on my Mac, correctly running and appearing on my Finder. I updated my Mac to El Capitan and have not been able to reinstall Dropbox.

I have uninstalled it, downloaded a newest version from the website but it does not work.

When I launch the installer, the installation seems to work, the installation time bar goes the whole way and I get no error message, but nothing happens. The Dropbox icon does not appear in the status bar, there is not Dropbox process active in the activity monitor, nothing.

I deleted all the leftovers from my previous Dropbox installation: directories, application, launchers, etc (I believe).

I also run the solution proposed there

https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Installation-and-desktop-app/changed-home-folder-name-now-db-will-no...

But still does not work. I do not know what to do.

Last info, I thought my installation of El Capitan was corrupted, so I formatted my disk and reinstalled it from scratch with the latest update. Still does not work.

Could anybody help ? I would like to subscribe for a Pro account at Dropbox to sync all my personal files, but I cannot do until I am sure I can solve this problem.

Many thanks

      Hi Benjamin4,

I tried this but the thing is that I do not know how to download the Offline Dropbox Installer.

Is it a different version from the normal installer ? I do not see any difference when I click on the link to the Offline installer vs the normal installer. Is it normal ?

      Thanks !
