Dropbox Update triggering User Account Control (UAC) constantly

Despite the fact that I have v212 (your UI is convenient enough to not allow copying the full version number), the issue is still there. Tonight I got 14 instances of UAC. Exiting dropbox does not help. Closing Dropbox does not help. They will keep appearing until I close dropbox a few times and in between agree to at least one of these UAC windows. EXTREMELY bothering.

3 months agoHey YuriGubanov - thanks for flagging this with us.
Could you check if this is happening with the latest version of the app as well?
Also, what is your computer's exact OS version?

Walter, I can check - but should I, given that the problem was announced solved some 40 versions ago? Does this particular update has release notes regarding the UAC issue?
My OS is Windows 11 Pro, 10.0.22631

Yes, you should always update to the latest version as those usually fix bugs and contain improvements YuriGubanov
Let us know if the issue persists though, and we'll take it from there.

Sorry, but since the release notes have no mention of the UAC issue fix, there is little sense to hope that this update will solve the issue. There are no miracles in the world. Please raise the bugfix request with the development. Looks like the bug is there for 40+ versions.
