Hey Lesbo, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you please send us a screenshot of the prompt you keep getting so that we can have a visual too?
Did you reboot your computer since you first noticed this?
Also, do you happen to have an antivirus or a firewall running on your computer perhaps?
Keep me posted and we'll take it from there.

Hi,
No Anti-Virus it is MacOS
When I click on the Link - Get Started, It appears to go through the installation process, but then it is back again.
I have also restarted, carried out again, but same result.
Thanks

Me too (other than it did install the latest Dropbox version); however, the notification that I still need to update it is still there...and annoying. 😞

Hi, I have restarted it and it still happens.
No Anti-Virus or Firewall running

I am having a similar issue. My Dropbox is updated to the latest version (v163.4.5456); however, the Dropbox notification in the top menu bar says I still need to update it.
It says, "Dropbox for MacOS is now ready. Update Dropbox to use it on the latest version of MacOS." See attached.
My tech guy at work (it's for my work Mac) said he thought Canada was blocking my notification from disappearing? I was confused with that response.
Thanks, if you can help.

Good morning.
Running OS 13.2.1 on a silicon macbookpro.
Followed all the prompts to install the new version of Dropbox for Mac. 6 times now. Restarted in between several of them. Waited more than the four hours estimated install time on all of them. Have relogged in (when prompted) each time. I still have the little red badge on the dropbox icon and the message that Dropbox is ready to be installed.
I think I have a little red badge and a message for Dropbox ... but I'll save that for now.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!

Hi tucsonbil, happy Monday!
In regards to the prompt you keep getting about upgrading to the new Dropbox for Mac, would you kindly send us a screenshot of the prompt you keep receiving, in order for us to see it too?
Also, are there any firewalls or antivirus programs active on your device?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Meagan:
Thank you for your response.
See attached screen shot.
I have the Mac OS firewall settings on and AVAST security installed.
