Issue with Dropbox from flathub on Fedora 41 with Gnome
Hello,
I’m having a difficulty using Dropbox (from flathub) on Fedora 41 with Gnome:
Once in a while (probably after reboot), Dropbox stops syncing.
I have to clic on the Dropbox icon on the Fedora dash, then the app want to reconnect via the web but is not recognizing it is already connected with this computer, so, as I am limited with 3 devices, I have to disconnect Dropbox from this computer (still appearing in the list of connected devices) and then retry to click on the icon and then clic connect on the web page and then it syncs again.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a bug? Why the app is not recognizing it is on an already connected device?
I don’t have such issue with Dropbox app on Ubuntu.

I uninstall via GUI (with data removed) reboot and reinstall with GUI (and associating dropbox with computer), but it did not stopped the issue: after the next reboot I needed to re-initiate connection again as if it were a new computer.
I noticed that the Flathub application is not "verified". I tried to find official RPM from Fedora but nothing under DNF. I then downloaded the RPM from Dropbox website, but the install failed.
Why is the flatpak in Flathub not verified?

Hey AlexVal!
In regards to Flathub, I'm afraid you'd need to contact them and ask more info on their side since we can't officially troubleshoot it, because it's outside our scope.
When you tried downloading the app using our website and the installation failed, did it give you a specific error?
Also, have you tried installing using specifically this link?

Version number is 217.4.4417
It is installed via flatpak from Flathub using the Gnome GUI, so the command lines indicated in advanced reinstall doesn't work (starting with the 1st line : Dropbox is an unknown command).
I'll try a reinstall via GUI and let you know if it solves the problem.

Hey AlexVal - thanks for letting us know about this.
If you've ensured that your computer meets the minimum requirements, could you let us know the version of the Dropbox desktop app you're using and if you've attempted an advanced reinstall since you first noticed this?
Thanks!
