Removing one of the Dropbox accounts linked to my device.

I would like to remove ONE of the TWO Dropbox accounts installed in the Windows Explorer of my computer. Do I have to delete the Dropbox programme from the computer first, then reinstall and connect just the ONE I would like to keep there? Or is there a better way? Will anything be deleted from the account(s)?

  • Hi jpfeidal let's see what we can find on this together!

Have you tried signing out from the one Dropbox account, and then signing into the one you want connected there?

Are they paired accounts by any chance? Keep in mind that once you locally sign out of the account, you should be able to delete any of the content to free up hard drive space, without affecting the files on the account.

Keep me posted on the results!

Thank you very much Megan! I followed you instructions and the problem is solved. Didn't even consider the possibility that the two accounts might be paired.
