Could you apply to become a Cloud media provider for Android?
Not sure if this fits to the "Integrations" Category, but yeah, change it if you feel like it's wrong.

Hi Jay
It's been more than a month, can you inform me about any recent development, whether you decided to be a part of this or not or something else?

Hi eakkus,
Thanks for following up. I have brought this to some of the members of our Android team. I don't have any updates to share right now, but I'll be certain to keep you posted if and when that changes!
Regards,
Ben

Is there any changes / developments regarding the issue?
Maybe there is a way to manually register Dropbox to that specific menu (mentioned above) from our side but we're not aware of it? Do you have any info at all?

Knowing Dropbox they wont release any information until its ready to go and or happened - if they ever decide to do it.... of which of course there is no requirement to do so - this is the first time I've ever seen anything like this even requested.
Dropbox are very closed lipped on future plans (think Paper 2020 release which still is ongoing.....!) as they often miss deadlines etc.

I agree it sounds a tiny little bit weird to ask about Dropbox's "future dev plans" 🙂 , but this is also what press / media does, right? You seeing this sort of approach first time doesn't mean it's completely absurd or unacceptable. We - users - media (or whatever) ask questions, you answer, that's why there is this forum, don't marginalize this like "I've never seen such a thing like this", that is not the way how you should be doing your job.
All I wanted to know if Dropbox had an intention or even if it is possible for Dropbox to take part in this cloud media thing, because I wanted to use a functionality of this photo picker thing, since it'd increase how I work. So, if users like me also explore usage of this kind of thing, you may gain new users, right? Meaning Dropbox earning more money, right? Weird that I had to explain this like this, like I'm explaining it to 6 years old kid.
