Is there a cheaper plan than the Plus plan, that offers more space?
my question is:
Is there any plan that is even cheaper than the normal basic plan of 2000 tb? It happens that I want to have more storage space, but the cheapest plan is still quite expensive.
Is there an alternative storage plan, which is cheaper?
Hi wdshieh, if your account is eligible, you could upgrade to the Dropbox Basic Extra plan, which offers all the existing features on Basic, but with 50 GB of quota.

Hi there NOUTROK , thank you for your inquiry.
Just to clarify, the Basic plan, is our free plan, and comes with 2 GB of space.
You are referring to our Plus plan, that offers 2 TB of space.
I am afraid that, there is no plan, that offers more space, at a lower price, at the moment.
You can see all our available plans here.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else.

Dropbox can think of a plan starting with lower spaces say 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, etc.
That is suitable for small and medium enterprises.

Dropbox has trialed smaller plans in the past, with little success.
There's likely a post in the Share an Idea section asking for this same thing again. You can add your reply there, or start your own if the idea is already closed.

Really tho? There is no one that needs more than 2gb's of storage, yet doesn't need A HUNDRED TIMES MORE storage? Those are the options? you can have 2 ice cream scoops, or 2000? What an absurd premise. No one willing to pay $5 a month that will never ever get close to 2000gb's? I've been using dropbox for years. I'm at 5gb's used. I guess by the time I start to get full, we'll be in quantum computing and I'll need a gig per photo eh? lol
- RatSinnerNew member | Level 2There should be an option to purchase a flat amount of storage. I use dropbox for a specific purpose that just does not necessitate paying per month but I would absolutely pay for a flat storage increase. I would honestly pay for just GBs like it wouldn’t even need to be paying for TBs bc I think the subscription for TBs makes sense for other people but for my purposes a one time purchase of 25-50 GB would get the job done and I’d buy that option in a heartbeat

Hi there,
Im sure this has been raised but it would be great to have another plan option for smaller plans. This would especially be useful for people who want to use the rekordbox cloud storage which requires you to have a dropbox account. The plus plan is too expensive if it is just being used for rekordbox cloud storage and 2tb is far more than needed. I have 2000 songs which equates to 32gb. I would love to have a 100gb plan for max $20 - $50aud a year.

Good morning.
With regards to the Drop Box purchase options, if I am correct, there is the 2GB and then the purchase options start at 2000GB, which is a little pricy.
There should be a purchase option too of 1000GB. Looking into this option, will also be a good thing, I think. It's just a suggestion 🙂

I have 4TB now and would just need 1TB more
so it doesn't work
No dropbox has send me an email to add a top up of 1TB but this whole link doesn't work and get directed to buying the 5TB for a min of 3 users!
what is this for strange way of getting money out of people
- rebekkaelizaHelpful | Level 5
Dropbox plan 5GB single user
It is ridiculous that there is not a dropbox plan for people that work alone with 5GB!
No I need to buy 3 subscriptions but I work alone! Im not paying that money and not buying that plan and now try to find another solution with another company to store my data

I love Dropbox's block-level synchronization, but I hate the drastic change from 2GB (free) to 2TB (plus).
I think more people would purchase a lower option than the 2TB. I just want 100GB - 250GB without having to pay 120$ a year.

As the subject says, I wish Dropbox would offer a cheaper plan for less storage.
I've been managing alright on a few gigabytes of storage for many years. I just don't need 2TB of cloud storage.
I really like Dropbox and wouldn't mind paying monthly for it if I didn't feel like I would be mainly paying for a bunch of storage to just sit empty.
I would also be ok with a higher price per gigabyte if it meant a lower monthly cost e.g. 4€ for 250GB.

Dear Dropbox,
Please give some affordable space to users who can able be able to pay. If you are giving 2TB for nearly $120 per year if paid once will not be affordable and most of them will not Upgrade. Instead you can give 50-100GB with $10 per year, then lots of people can Use and Upgrade the Dropbox plan. This is my idea to improve your Business.

Hi! I just wanted to share some concerns and ideas for your software. I am currently using a free account with 2gb storage only. I use this for my online work. The 2gb storage isn't enough for me right now so I need to upgrade to a plan, however, the least I could avail (2TB) is too much of what I need.
If there is any way I could avail a subscription with atleast 300-500gb only and at a lesser price, I would love that.
- zsoltadopNew member | Level 2Hey, somebody know the 3000GB is the maximum storage here in Dropbox or there a is a bigger opportunities? Thank you
- MarkSuper User II
For personal plans, unless you see other options at www.dropbox.com/account/plan that is the max, yes.
If you want more you need to use business plans BUT that means multiple fees per month

Gracias,
Azul

I consider that their plans are too expensive for countries that are not in a good socioeconomic moment. They should be more empathetic since they have clients from all over the world and in countries like Argentina, their platform is turning its back on them. Not only because it is charged in a currency that is very little accessible here, but because the values are high. I would think about a discount for these situations, or if you don't want to change the currency, put a more friendly price. I had to unsubscribe from their Professional plan because it was too expensive.
Also, while I'm at it, it seems to me that your user experience is not very intuitive. The website is elaborate and does not have easy access.
