Old Email Account with gmail overwritten with google login.

The Google Sign on would not overwrite your account, so it's possible that you have another Dropbox account under a similar email.
Do you have any emails from Dropbox before you used the sign in, to confirm the exact address it was sent to?

sorry for my late answer. Yes have the option to log in via google account and via email and password. But both bring me to the same account. not to my old one ...

I also have Mails from Dropbox from 2019- that should somehow be a indicator that my old account is somewhere there.

If you login with Google and check the email address in the Dropbox app's settings, is it the same as the one you used to set up your old account? Is it the one you previously received these emails from 2019 to?

Yes its the same Email. I have the old Emails from 2019 that were send to the same Email adress that the "new Account" uses.
