Webmail service changed owners - can't access email to receive 6-digit code
A fairly reputable webmail service from my city was bought out a few years ago, my email address and inbox along with it. I thought I had backed everything up but my dropbox stayed on that email addr...

Do you perhaps have any devices still linked to this account?
If you do, you should be receiving the 6-digit code as a notification on those as well.
