Hey adrianxw, sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that since this email came from an official Dropbox domain, it's possible that the email was sent out in error, since this is usually an email sent out when you first create a Dropbox account.
Feel free to ignore the email and let us know if you receive any similar emails in the future.

Hey Andy Arkin, thanks for reaching out to our Community!
Can you please check if the email is coming from one of the official Dropbox domains?
This will let you know if it's legitimate.
Keep me posted.

Hi,
I had the same email on the 8th October. It came from no-reply@dropbox.com.
I was a bit confused - why would I need help setting the account up when I've used dropbox for 12 years.

Hi Mike W.45, thanks for posting here, as well!
From what you mention, it sounds like this is a legit Dropbox email (since it’s coming from one of our official domains).
Did you recently create a new Dropbox account, by any chance? If so, then it sounds like this email could be referring to this.
However, if you still have your doubts and you wish for our team to have a closer look, I’d also recommend emailing abuse@dropbox.com, before clicking on any links showing on the email.

I ssem to have joined to this thread which it has nothing to do with me.
I see that Mike W.45 has commented but I am not the same use account. Perhaps, something has gone wrong in identifying a user name.
Would one of the Drobox administrators please remove me from the thread?
Thank you.

There seems to be a problem. I have received 5 emails from the Dropbox Community in the last 2 days.
My dropbox name is Mike Wood; when I just wrote about 15 minutes ago, the user name Mike W.45 which is not my username.
Would one of the Dropboxers/moderators please tell me how I can get out of this thread?
p.s. ignore the Mike W.45 name at the top of this post as it's wrong.

Android removed app permissions because I wasn't using it (didnt ask), my main workplace is desktop.
Maybe the app felt restricted then sent the issue, the mail should consider this.
