Dropbox Backup: end-to-end encryption for smaller plans?
I only discovered this feature tonight. It doesn't seem to be available for free. Fine, Dropbox Plus up to 2TB for $119.88. That's competitive with others I'm considering. Eight months ago it was still Beta. Is it a decent alternative to Backblaze or Carbonite? I'm not so sure. For one, thing, I don't see support for zero-knowledge backups. Thoughts, folks?

Hi there tbc - thanks for posting on Community!
I just wanted to clarify that the Dropbox Backup feature is available to all Dropbox plans at this time while end-to-end encryption is a feature available for teams on Dropbox Business Plus, Advanced, and Enterprise at this time.
I can't really talk about the 3rd party apps you mentioned, but you could try it out and see if it would do the trick for you.
Let us know if there's anything else you'd like to ask in the meantime and note that I'll be leaving this post open for other users to reply with their thoughts and experiences with Backblaze and Carbonite.
I hope this helps!
