I just returned from an "Honor Flite" to Wash, D.C. designed for older military vets to tour the many memorials open to the public. The many pix taken during the visit shd be shared with family, friends and other vets. Dropbox appears to be the "way to go".

- maher1982Super UserI began using Dropbox under the guidance of our manager in our construction company. While it didn't necessitate a shift in our workflow, it did require a change in our routine. Initially, some team members -including me- were hesitant about the change, as we were accustomed to using traditional Windows shared files. However, our manager stressed the advantages of Dropbox for collaboration and file management.
What started as a managerial directive soon transformed into a fundamental aspect of our work process. With Dropbox, we no longer relied on cumbersome external hard drives for file backups; instead, everything was securely stored in the cloud. Collaborating on projects became more efficient, as we could access and edit files from anywhere, on any device.
Despite the initial reluctance, I now appreciate how Dropbox has revolutionized the way we work. It's not just a tool dictated by management; it's become an essential part of my daily routine, both for work and personal use. The convenience of accessing and sharing files via the Dropbox mobile app has made it indispensable, allowing me to stay productive and connected, no matter where I am.- Shirin ArnoldDropbox Staff
maher1982 this is great insight and thank you for sharing!
I know the construction industry well and the challenges with adoption to technology as well as wanting to introduce new ways of doing things! Glad Dropbox was able to revolutionize the way you and the team works.

Hi johnsonit,
Thanks for sharing and welcome to the Dropbox Community. It sounds like you've been making great use of your Dropbox account for sharing your documents and files. Did you know you can also use it when you need to collect files from others using File Request? Does this sound like something that would be useful to you?
Thanks again, and have a great Friday!

I have utilized Dropbox for over seven (7) years beginning as an individual user housing both personal and business documents. I am the founder & CEO of two companies growing both steadily since 1999 for one and the second since 2017.
The first business I launched in 1999, starting out small simply dabbling on eBay and slowing over to Amazon also. Later growing the inventory and in 2012 converting both to a Store/Professional Seller. Now, on Amazon we are worldwide selling in 13 countries & ship worldwide from the United States. Many folks were not aware that Amazon itself was an auction back in the latter 1990’s as well. The store on eBay is closed temporarily as I work to build my website for business. We have recently become Federally Trademarked for the store name. My second business was launched in 2017 and has seen significant growth. The second business focuses on providing event management & entertainment for music festivals, fairs, and vendors shows. We are expecting to launch into large music festivals in 2025 with one currently having approx., today 20 entertainers/recording artists booked. Dropbox assists us in being able to store all of these files, including our Master Artist/Entertainment contact database, Vendor Database, Sponsorship Database, and more. Myself and staff have been able to organically grow our vendor contact database to reach well over 10k now and the Sponsorship database is at least well over 5k.
I am currently a pro developer and provide our vendors, attendees, sponsors, partners, etc. brand expansion, advertising and marketing consulting, content creation, graphic design, etc. with return participation in our events year over year along with an interactive link that connects those attendees and website visitors directly to those vendors in turn we provide real analytics and data for growth in addition to the marketing consulting/brand expansion strategy. 2024-2025 motto, unleash the power, execute success.
We plan to build use of Drobox Dash into the future business model for my staff as I can only see it increasing productivity even more as we continue striving for less touchpoints from manual posting of each annual event on social media page (up to 250+ per event manually posted) in addition to more than 75 digital publications and more. Dropbox over the years has tremendously assisted me maintain and sustain through at times what I like to call “the fast & the furious” growth tsunami to a calmer organized, well oil machine that is accessible anywhere at any time. I conduct just as much of my business on my mobile devices as I do sit in or at my office desk. Knowing I offer a more pliable office environment that is moveable, not fixed, and more flexible for my staff, I believe offers them more sustainability and quality of life for those sporadic occurrences that life throws.
I truly appreciate the security measures as well as the reporting available to me as well. It allows me as a business owner to have more reliable data for those who may not necessarily be on the up and up when working from home unfortunately. As I continue to work through growth opportunities and expansion plans, I look forward to the many enhancements and tools that I have yet to tap into with Dropbox and other affiliate software my company uses such as Adobe, ect. whereas it is my desire to cease all paper documents and embed our contracts strictly into our website for vendors, food vendors, and all artists and entertainers. Once it is completed online, and signed the signer clicks “submit” and it will then route into the appropriate Dropbox folder for that specific year’s event. During the 2024-2025 fiscal years and beyond, our company will continue to utilize various Dropbox features that will prove beneficial to our mission of streamlining the overall event management process per event from end to end while also implementing integrated business solutions that will increase productivity as bottlenecks are identified. Through those endeavors each individual process will be reviewed for potential automation thus reducing touchpoints, again utilizing any features available in Dropbox.
My next largest course of business is cleaning up duplicate business files within Dropbox from employee attrition. I would welcome any tips.

Hi cindyb7,
Thanks so much for taking the time to give us this insight into how you use Dropbox! It really sounds like you're making the most of Dropbox and using it to help keep your business running smoothly. It would be great to chart a little more about this, would it be OK with you if we were to reach out via the email address associated with this account?
As for finding and deleting duplicates, we don't currently have a function for this, although some Community members have found ways to make it a little easier in the past, here's a thread where it has been discussed before. I hope this helps!
Thanks again, and have a great day!

Good morning, Graham, It would be an honor & privilege to partner with Dropbox indeed. I am consistently looking at areas of opportunity for growth, creative avenues to increase ROI that require little to no touch points where staff or I may already be utilizing or working with a process, partner, etc. We also look for these same ROI for the clients we perform web development services for such as partners of theirs that may offer affiliate programs/relationships.
These relationships when approved can be built into their program/project plan and/or business model for the project consulting and deliverables we perform whereas in the end those relationships (ROI) may truly be an added ROI to their financial portfolio that would pay for our services (short term or long term). I will share this the tidbit as well, the Dropbox security and encryption features along with the ability to share files to outside parties, assign said file a password, followed by an expiration date is truly an IMPRESSIVE feature indeed!
With the size of our vendor and sponsor files we must be diligent and vigilant ensuring we mitigate risk within all aspects of cybersecurity, possibly in safeguarding not only company data but all of the data for those who work with us. For my associates, when sharing information outside of the company whether they know I know or not, I consistently pull regular activity reports several times weekly to review who and what has been shared and what has been accessed. We must always be vigilant.
I believe charting how we evolve in our relationship with Dropbox is an excellent idea and will begin to have my staff do that as well along with a few of our additional vendor resources we use such as the new communication company. We have over 400+ communication platforms that feeds various forms of customers, vendors, attendees, entertainers, potential clients, and others specific questions.
We will also receive communication posts from the more than 200+ Facebook pages (we post to over 200+ individual Facebook pages for each annual event), voice calls, text messages to business mobile, messenger inbox for seven (7) social media pages, chats for seven (7) websites, and more into our company's now communication company who will attempt to answer the question for the individual before routing into a queue for myself (if escalated) or staff. I look forward to hearing from one of Dropbox staff member(s).

Hi Graham
I came across Dropbox for more than 10 years ago when I was manager in a small internal IT-shop. I soon found out that Dropbox could help me organize, share and secure all kinds of files I was using - both work relatet an for personal use.
Then about a year ago I realized that something was going on with Dropbox. My Dropbox folder was converted in a way that made it difficult for me to use it. I was uncertain if Dropbox was the right tool for me - now retired -but with a lot of files to keep track of.
Well, I have studied most of the help articles and I am beginning to reconsider my structure and must admit that it is a much better tool today.
By the way - whats the meaning of BooC
