Add text based log files for errors (installation/updates and product run-time errors)

As the install update logs in the "program data" area are NOT useful or usable to any user account or techie to check, please add cumulative (single file) text based log files to a "user" viewable area to check. There should be separate log files, one for product updates, one for errors during the products running. I know major errors will be picked up by the Event Log or Windows Error Reporting, and sync errors can be seen in the UI, but a proper error logging system would be useful.
