Allow a personal account to have more than 3 TB, or more than 4 TB with the add on
Hello,
I'm a graphic designer with over 15 years of workload. This obviously equates to extreme files sizes. I was disappointed to learn Dropbox don't offer a package for single users over 3TB. I work solely and require more cloud space and don't want to have to upgrade to a 'per user' plan as this isn't cost effective. This option has to become available soon.

Seriously starting to look at dropbox alternatives because of this, kinda crazy that they won't let us give them more money for more storage... Love dropbox but this artificial limitation seems out of touch.

I'm a photographer that does a little design work on the side. I would love to be able to get to more storage space. I deliver finished files to clients via Dropbox and store work files so that I can work from studio or home. 5-10-15TB would be capacities that I would be interested in seeing offered.

How long does this take to be fully investigated? This is actually stopping me from buying a bigger Mac Studio. 🤬

Deaf ears......Dropbox is being sabotaged from within by negligent employees who are too scared to put their neck out and inform management and shareholders how Dropbox's potential market share is LITERALLY being sabotaged.
How can this thread get so many posts for YEARS and nothing has changed?
Does anyone have the email address of the CEO? Because I bet he doesn't know this level of corporate sabotage is occurring.

Just want to add that I also am really in need of more space as an audio professional. I have loved this product for years, it is the best on the market by far but this one issue of limiting the space is really making it difficult to stay. Pretty soon I will have to find another alternative if I can't get an additional 2 to 3 TB.

It's really sad that they have forgotten where they started and how it was small business and personal users that gave them the chance to get to where they are now!!!
I remember when they offered Unlimited plans at a fair price and you could add-on space to smaller plans any time.
Now they just try to screw the smaller users (Not big business that can afford their own data centers).
It's really dumb that I would have to pay for 3 USERS when it is only myself and my small business!
It would be much smarter if we could add-on to what we have now. Heck, I'm already paying more than what 1 user of the business plan does.
Now I have to find another solution, meaning I'll probably have to switch providers (Looking into https://mega.io right now.... They offer a 16tb plan for only $32.58 a month and adding on space is super easy!!! You can do up to 10PB, Thats 10,000TB).
Dropbox, You need to come back you reality cause I don't want to leave..... I have been with you guys for over 10 years now!

So DropBox's effective price for a 66% increase from 3TB to 5TB of space is a 170% price increase? Seriously bad service offering. Please offer increased storage space for individual users.

just chiming in to say that as a person who works with large audio files I would gladly pay the 20$/mo for business a account but I'm not dropping $720 a year on the current business plan. this plus dealing with the hassle of a disastrous cascade of synch errors on my account as a result of the last upgrade that's left me now closing in 3TB of data half of which are near - but not exact - duplicates has me looking into other options, after staying with DB since like 2006. 😞
