Dropbox online - number of subfolders and files in a folder, like file explorer shows

I've been using Dropbox for quite awhile but am new to the Community discussions.
I've searched the Community for an answer to my question, but have not found one that answers the full issue....
The website only provides a calculation of folder size, and not number of files in a folder. Since uploading several external hard drives of data I need to verify that it is all securely stored. Number of files should be implemented as an optional calculation.
Given the vast amount of files we have and the feature of "cloud only" storage this cannot simply be done on local storage. This issue has been raised a number of times over the years! It has recently been closed without being resolved ("has come to the end of the process..").
