Option to remove "Family Room" folder from hierarchy.
It would be a great feature to be able to remove the "Family Room" folder from view. Whether it is fully deleted or just hidden really doesn't matter. I have a very specific hierarchy for my needs and these unused folders add to the clutter. This option should extend to your local file folders as well as the online version and the mobile app. Thank you!
Dropbox Capture: more options / abilities once the recording is complete.
After finishing a recording, I would like it tonotopen a browser window with the video to show a preview in a small window in the bottom right corner (like the screenshot behaviour) Allowing me to drag that window into e.g. a Github comment box to directly upload the video there automatically copy the video into clipboard (if it's below 10mb or whatever), so I can paste it not wait 3s for the recording to begin (or an option) Thanks, Konrad
Creating your own thumbnails for videos
Hello, Many users, including myself, would like to see a way to save a thumbnail of our choosing when we send a video link to a client, and without needing to purchase or rent any up-sell software. If it can be done with Vimeo, Youtube, and Frame IO, it can be done here on Dropbox too. All too often I will share a link with a professional client for a video I've created, and the thumbnail image that opens up for the client is of the on-camera talent caught in an embarrassing pose with their mouth open and their eyes half closed. Hello Dropbox, can this idea be turned into a reality? You need to help us users look more professional in the eyes of our clients. This is why we pay for the Dropbox service. Default sorting by date taken on the photos page on the website
Hey Dropbox Team, This is a request for an enhancment of the Photo Viewer interface. I love this feature because i typically group my photos in many differnt folders by theme which makes viewing all my photos across a timeline difficult to do without opening all of those different folders. The issue I have is that, the default sort for the Photo Viewer interface is by "Date Uploaded." This seems like the least helpful sort field when trying to view your photos across time. It seems like the obvious default metadata to sort on for photos taken over time would be "Date Taken." I will often wait months and even years before uploading all of my photos in a single day, in which case the Photo Viewer interface will display years of photos attributed to the day they were uploaded which is useless when looking back on them. Could you change this default to view photos by "Date Taken" and NOT "Date Uploaded" or could you provide a toggle to allow sorting by different Metadata fields? I'd love to have a feature that can embed/stream videos from a webpage. I specifically use Squarespace, and I pay a whole other service (Vimeo) to host these videos. So I'd be willing to pay extra add-on for this, just so I don't have to use Vimeo (now that they're charging a ridiculous amount for the value you get).On iPad, adjust column widths, or allow line wrap, to show full filenames
Is it possible to prevent long filenames being shortened from the end? My filenames need to have the whole name displayed, rather than having the end characters chopped off. These "end" characters identify the various versions of the same file. Many thanks, JohnF
