Please allow pairing of more than two accounts. As a contractor, I am a member of a company's business account, a team member of another company, and have my personal account. It is frustrating to only be able to pair two of them, so that when I need to access the third, I have to completely sign out of the others and sign in fresh for the third.17KViews40likes84CommentsSecurity measure for changes in settings
Provide a security option that, when enabled, requires users (including admins) to always enter a 2FA code when attempting to change any security related settings. A 2FA code should also be required on any attempt to permanently delete files/folders from Dropbox Rewind. The idea is to prevent ransomware attacks from being able to compromise the user's ability to restore their files. In short, there is a need to prevent the type of situation that happened to this poor fellow: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Delete-edit-and-organize/Lost-Files-that-were-permanently-deleted-after-ransomware/td-p/694211541Views0likes2Comments- 3.7KViews3likes11Comments
Email validation to improve creation of new accounts
Hello, Dropbox team. I would like to recommend the implementation of an email validation system to block the creation of new accounts that use emails from an existing account, such as how Google works, where userany@gmail.com and user.any@gmail.com are actually from the same Google account. I would also recommend implementing an email validation system during account creation to check if an email really belong to the person trying to create an account on Dropbox. That would also resolve the issue above. Thanks and keep up the good work !961Views0likes6CommentsChange password using PIN or OTP on linked mobile device
Hello. My idea/suggestion is due to the issue i am facing. Dropbox is linked to my laptop and mobile device. I forgot my pwd and i no longer have access to my email (also cant contact my email provider). So my suggestion to you is - can you change password by using a PIN or OTP (one time password) sent to my linked mobile number? This will solve the problem of password change and using the new password I can then change the email address. Thanks.748Views0likes3CommentsI would like more tools to analyze my team's file activity on Dropbox
DropBox has evolved within many organizations to take on the role of more than just a sharing and archiving system, to become a fundamental hub integral to many facets of their work. From collaboration, to knowledge distribution, many have leveraged the available client tools, however, the tools available to administrators has not grown along with it. I need data on my data, and sadly the available reports are lacking. For instance, I can see the super-users on our deployment based on physical file storage, but I cannot see what specific files of theirs that are generating the most activity. How am I supposed to justify my license count if there is no means to truly verify the service is worth it, and actively utilized?4.4KViews6likes6Comments
