Dropbox Pro user here. I am camera-scanning a document with my phone and trying to upload it as a PDF to my Dropbox folder. The upload progresses really quickly all the way until 100% (no network issues here, using Wi-Fi), but it gets stuck "Sending..." at 100% and just never finishes the upload. I confirm that I can upload regular files (including PDFs) from my phone to Dropbox, and I can scan into JPG files and upload them. It's only the PDF scanning option that isn't working, as far as I can tell. I suspect that the cause is the OCR post-processing... Things I've tried (none of them worked): - Killing the app - Clearing the app cache - Using Data connection instead of Wi-Fi - Restarting the phone - Updating the App: it is already at its latest version Phone Model: Samsung A54 Android App Version: 352.2.2 Has anyone else had the same issue or is this specific to me? Would really appreciate some help to solve this.Solved13KViews0likes8CommentsScan file lost completely?
Hi On the Android app (version 266.2.2) I scanned a document but I received an error message while trying to upload it, both on data and on wi-fi. I assumed that I would be able to access the saved file on my device (in JPG format) after I closed the error screen, however the file doesn't seem to exist. Is there some kind of 'temp' folder where these files are stored before they are uploaded? This file was of particular importance to me (as I had limited access to the paper version) and I wonder if it is still located somewhere on my device. Thanks for any help.Solved10KViews0likes14CommentsPhoto uploads on Android not working unless I open the app
Hi, I have the photo uploader feature turned on on my Samsung Galaxy S7, which I believe works overall. Although I have noticed that if I need it to upload a photo that I have recently taken, I need to open up the app on my phone before it will upload. I took a photo this morning; 4 hours later it still hadn't uploaded by itself. Once I opened up the app, it uploaded immediately. Older photos have been uploaded eventually, although I don't know how long it took. Any ideas on how to get this to happen immediately, without intervention? Thanks! Hi. For couple weeks now uploading photos using the android app is terribly slow. I am uploading photos using the (+) button at the bottom right corner then selecting "Upload photos or video". It takes hours to upload 30 photos. And it takes 2 minutes using the google drive app. So it is not an internet speed issue. (400 download, 50 upload mbps) Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.Solved8.3KViews1like4CommentsHow do I change the folder I upload files to on my Android device?
I have a number of subfolders in my Dropbox. When I upload files from my Android phone, they always go to a particular folder. I'd like to change which folder they go to. Please note: I'm not asking about where the camera uploads to. I'm talking about regular files, like documents and spreadsheets. The photos taken by Samsung Galaxy are not immediately synced to Dropbox for some reason. It seems it takes several hours to sync them, although the phone is connected to Wifi and also syncing over a cellular network is allowed and there are only 1-2 photos to upload (the problem is not the size). It is very inconvenient... a year ago the same problem were solved when I opened Dropbox app on the phone (then immediatly the files were synced). But now it seems that simply opening the app does not help either...Solved5.8KViews0likes14CommentsAutomatic photo upload not working on Android Pixel 6
I have a Pixel 6 and the Dropbox app won't upload photos taken on my phone. Things I've tried: 1) Toggling photo backup off and on (several times) 2) Purging the app cache, forcing a re-login 3) Logged out, logged back in 4) Uninstalled, re-installed Dropbox from scratch via Google Play Store If I go into the Dropbox Camera Uploads > hit the plus sign > and take a photo, that photo immediately uploads. So that functionality seems to be intact. When I take a photo with the Android 6 camera app, that photo doesn't show up anywhere in Dropbox - but it shows up in the Photos app - so it seems as though the Dropbox app can't "see" the photos I'm taking on my phone. My wife's phone is logged into my account as well for photo uploads, and photos aren't being uploaded from her phone either. Any known fixes for this? It makes Dropbox 100% useless for me since my primary use case for Dropbox is photo transfers. Everything seemed to be working well until a few weeks ago, but I didn't purposefully change anything.Solved5.7KViews0likes9CommentsTransferring files from SD card in Galaxy Tab S7 to Dropbox
Hello, While on holiday, I occasionally uploaded the contents of my camera SD card to the SD card in my Tablet. Twice now, I have started transferring the files to Dropbox but come across this problem. I select My files/Edit/Select All and click Share, which appears below. At first, a pop-up appears on the right giving me various options for sharing including Dropbox, so I can just select the icon and navigate to the folder I want to store the photos in. Quick and easy. After doing this a few times, that pop-up stops appearing. Instead, there's a pop-up from below which only offers me Samsung's Quick Share and Nearby Share. I can't find any way to move my files to Dropbox. Is there any way to manually add the Dropbox options to the Share pop-up? Or, for example, can you add Dropbox to Network Storage in my Files, for which I would need FTP or SFTP information? The Samsung help pages and community are not helpful.
