Billing
926 TopicsI've paid for my account but it's not showing up
My account was charged for a new month's subscription yesterday. Then this morning, I get an email telling me that my account is full, out of space, no longer syncing. I went to my account and logged in, and it says I need to upgrade, that I'm only a Basic user! But, I am a PLUS user and have been for many years! I'm not going to pay to upgrade my account to a level I'm already at - especially when they just billed me yesterday! The payment was successfully processed, I checked. So, there is no reason for this. NONE of this makes ANY sense to me whatsoever: - My bank account processed the payment for my subscription successfully. - I pay for my subscription through Google Play - which shows me as an active Plus member, with my next payment being due in April. - The email I received was telling me to upgrade to the next level of 3 TB. But, 3 TB is NOT the next level up from Basic - 2 TB is! So, that makes it seem as if I'm already at 2 TB...? - When I logged into my account, it said I was using a little under 6 GB, and that I was full, out of space, no longer syncing - meaning I'm in a Basic account. Since the account is showing me as Basic, I'm unable to contact anyone in Customer Support for help - no phone, no chat, no email. Apparently, that is only for "paid" customers - WHICH I AM!! I need help with this. I need to know if any Dropbox employees monitor these boards and might see this...??? I have MANY important documents saved in my cloud, so I need this working correctly again! Any help would be extremely appreciated. Please. Thank you, Lori5.4KViews6likes35CommentsVAT details missing on Dropbox Pro Invoice
I have gone through the VAT related questions on the forum. It seems, the Dropbox admin is not getting the question. Hence, I am sending a copy of my Dropbox Pro invoice (which does not show Dropbox VAT number nor VAT separately) to HMRC (Tax Department in the UK) as it is a legal obligation in the UK to give a VAT receipt showing VAT number of the seller and VAT rate as well as amount. This is necessary for a business in the UK (and for that matter anywhere in Europe) to claim back the VAT paid on the service. This is not applicable if Dropbox is not collection VAT but it is quite clear that they are charging VAT. Now if they are charging VAT, then they must remit VAT collected to the Office of Revenue Commissioners in Republic of Ireland and we as a user should be able to claim this VAT back if we are using the service for our business and we are VAT registered in any of the EU countries. So it really surprises me to see the reluctance of Dropbox to simply resolve this issue by adding VAT details on the invoice (and it is not that they don't have this facility in their invoicing system because they are already providing VAT invoice for Dropbox for Business subscription) I guess I will leave HMRC to deal with as they have gone quite strong now-a-days with issues like this.Solved11KViews5likes8CommentsHow can I redeem the 50% Discount for Dropbox Plus with Adobe Creative Cloud?
I have both an Adobe Creative Cloud and aDropbox Plus subscription. I recently saw that I could be saving 50% on my Dropbox Plus sub. It has only recently renewed but as my work situation has changed I need to cut some costs while I seek new work. I want to keep my subscription but want to take advantage of this offer I'm entitled to. Could someone let me know if they've been able to do this? When I click Redeem Offer it says I already have a Dropbox Plus plan. I've been paying for Adobe for 30 years and Dropbox for 15 years. Many thanks! https://creativecloud.adobe.com/cc/discover/article/creative-cloud-perks?promoid=T32PLP96&mv=other&locale=en-AU3KViews4likes42CommentsI don't want an upgrade to Dropbox Essentials
I got an email this morning saying "We’re providing you with a free upgrade from your Dropbox Professional plan to our new Dropbox Essentials." I don't want this. I don't want those extra features and I don't want to pay the additional amount per month. The email may say free, but provided no details on this so I'm well aware after a month it'll start charging the full amount. Even if it's not going to do that. I don't want it. How to I stop this? I'm happy with what I have.Solved6.1KViews4likes12CommentsWhy does Dropbox keep emailing me about billing after I've downgraded?
Don’t know who is supposed to look at this, but I canceled my subscription to Dropbox (I wasn’t using it; I don’t need it.) via the Apple app just like the website tells me to do. Since then, I have been getting harassing emails from the Dropbox billing mail bot telling me they can’t bill my credit card. No sh*t Sherlock … I canceled the subscription … and I did it before the renew process was to have begun. So why are you sending me emails, multiples even, each day when I have followed your process to unsubscribe, downgrade, and cancel billing? Now, I’ll be happy to pay Apple for the extra storage space if and when I need it.Solved8.5KViews3likes21CommentsPersonal plus downgraded by Dropbox
My Personal account was a PLUS plan paid in App Store witch was connected to my Team account. How to get things back to personal Plus again when Dropbox stopped support free teams. Who to contact, Dropbox or Apple, none of them seems to be interested in live support (no chatbot please, they're so stupid)? /PeterSolved5.9KViews3likes29CommentsFraud Charge on my Credit Card
Hello, There was a fraudulent charge on my credit card. I am a basic plan user only so when I got the notification from my credit card company that I had a charge from Dropbox I knew something was suspicious. I was able to track down the invoice and receipt using the transaction ID lookup tool so I have that documentation. I want to report this to Dropbox so they may take action against this user. Thanks, DonSolved6.8KViews3likes9Comments
