I tried Dropbox Backups with a free trial - now it's already disabled but my storage on Dropbox isn't clearing - before it wouldn't let me delete the files - and now I no longer see the backup - only that I exceed my qouta (because of the backup files - for which I don't have access) How can I delete all backup files? (I've already uninstalled the app)Solved3KViews0likes9CommentsI deleted some files and dropbox still full
Hello there! I deleted a lot of files and the dropbox still full of capacity. I tried to find for some backup and there is no more backups available. The folder on my computer has 600Mbytes and the HTML version has 2,4Gbytes. Is there anyone can help me? Thank you.Solved2.3KViews0likes15Commentsunknown dropbox storage counted on my computer
I wonder if anyone can help with this vexing problem? I used to have & use dropbox (light version) for local file storage, but then ran out of the 2 gb of free space fairly quickly. I did at one stage take up a free offer to test out aditional data storage, and did load up many more items, but decided not to actually proceed with signing up for the extra facility. Initially, that resulted in me constantly getting alert messages saying I had exceeded my data storage limit, so I progressively deleted almost all of the extra material, to bring it down under my free limit again. I then transferred everything to a connected external ssd drive, thus freeing up needed space on my laptop. The problem - which has occurred repeatedly - is that whenever I simply reconnect my external drive to the laptop again, it mysteriously automatically RELOADS all of that data again into my laptop memory. More exactly, it automatically counts an additional 95GB of data against my laptop's memory. I have been stuggling with HOW to locate exactly where such data is then stored, and even after uninstalling dropbox (together with any visible associated files), my laptop stills displays the previous dropbox amount of data, on my C drive! I really do need to get rid of this unwanted wasted memory space from my laptop, but cannot find how to achieve this! Can anyone help?Solved1.8KViews0likes2CommentsDELETE ONLINE BACKUP
Hello, I have a problem, I have a message that I have run out of space in my basic dropbox, but my folders weigh 1.5 gb, however when I enter dropbox.com I see that I have 2.5 gb of information, a backup folder of 1.1 gb that I do not have on my computer and that I do not know how I can delete. How can I delete that backup?1.8KViews0likes1CommentCant get rid of external drive. What can I do?
My drop box is empty and I was getting constant request to upgrade / no space. I think I worked out that this was caused by an external drive that I certainly never asked DB to back up, but, whatever. So I find this drive but I simply cant get rid of it. As I try to simple delete it, it sends me to backup settings, it sends me to the DB installation page for whatever reason. so I click " I don't have access" and it tells me to sign out of the device. Of course, there is no such device under my listed devices, so I figured I should unlink my primary desktop and sign back in. -Now I cant sign back in; it does not recognize the security codes sent to my email😤 1. I never opted or asked for any drive back up service; don't want it. I just need the desktop folder 2. How do I simply delete this external drive? Its 8GB, I cant get rid of it. 3.I can get rid of dropbox though: Stop screwing up the APP with **bleep** no one asked for. kust give me a list of features to opt in or out, dont just push them in.1.8KViews0likes4CommentsTrouble with storing my macOS Dropbox app on an external drive
Perhaps someone can walk me through how to take care of these questions: 1. I liked having Dropbox mirror on my desktop, but that became untenable when Dropbox would no longer let me put the desktop contents on an external drive. These days, my Mac internal drive is 500 GB, and there isn’t any room for my photos (1.4TB). Not sure how to make this work using selective sync to move the Dropbox folder to an external drive. How do I make it so the default is an external drive on my Mac? 2. Backup management also needs clearer text to explain its actions. Given I can’t use the desktop sync without an exterior drive, how do I back up an exterior drive using the WEB-based Dropbox?1.6KViews1like7CommentsMy storage is full, cause my PC files are uploaded there. How to stop the auto uploads of photos?
I have a free Dropbox account but my storage is full because all my pc files have been automatically uploaded. I have removed the auto upload of photos but how do I stop the upload of all other docs please? Will removing them from Dropbox remove them from all other places on my pc? Thanks.
