Apple Photos has caused Dropbox mobile camera uploads to upload duplicate images
for years I've been using Dropbox's "camera uploads" feature to upload my iPhone's photos. I also have a separate location on dropbox with a TON of photos from other cameras/sources in a random folder called "photos". recently I thought I would be make my "photos" folder sync local to my Mac, use Apple Photos to to catalog all of it. unfortunately, this causes dropbox to see ALL the photos, to then populate my iPhone and upload them all back into "camera uploads" -- now I have tens of thousands of duplicates, and every time dropbox launches it continuously uploads a ton of duplicate pictures.
links from illustrator to online files
Hi, Since a more recent update of the operating system of apple, when we open an illustrator file, online links have to be searched manually, put offline, and connected again one by one. Before, this all happened automatically, where the illustrator file recognized all online links, and opened with all links correctly connected. What happened? is there something I'm not seeing in my presets or something? Now it's hell to be honest. Thanks for helping.
I try to create a transfer from my desktop app, but it gets stuck at 0%.
I have not Ben able to create a transfer on my pc running windows 11 for months. When I right click on the folder then click send copy the create transfer window pops up as usual but when I click it the Dropbox logo just spins and spins and the progress stays at 0%. I am a photographer and this is how I send my photos. I can't get any response from Dropbox and renewal is coming up on 12.22.24 and needless to say if I can't get this resolved I will not be renewing. I know I'm just one little customer and won't make a bit of difference to Dropbox but I won't throw away my money on a product I can't use or a business or service with 0 support!
My app isn't syncing the latest changes.
Hello, It seems that the desktop application is not synchronizing files correctly to my computer. I have Excel files that are flagged as not up-to-date and showing an incorrect format, making them impossible to open. However, when I access the files via the web version of Dropbox, they appear fine, can be downloaded, and work without any issues. My disk is not full. I have already tried disabling synchronization on my computer and re-enabling it. After the locally synchronized files were deleted, the application re-downloaded them, but the problem persists. My dropbox is syncing nonstop, states 65000+ items are indexing. It's been like this for over a month, and it's been affecting my ability to copy files and folders, both to local storage and external. I tried quitting dropbox and reopening several times. Even updated and restarted my Mac several times but the number of items kept going up. Dropbox version: v211.4.6008 Macos: 15.1
"Reconnecting to the internet, this may take a moment" desktop app error as of 204.4.5420
As of today's update, my Windows Dropbox desktop app is giving me the "Reconnecting to the internet, this may take a moment" error message, and will no longer sync. Dropbox version: 204.4.5420 Windows version: Windows 10 64 Bit Home, OS Build 17134.706 Please advise, or I will have to cancel.Bring back File Request option in File Explorer.
I used to be able to initiate a "Request Files" by right clicking on the file I wanted the documents to go into. This is more efficient that having to go to the web version, as I 99.9% work out of the File Explorer on my PC. Please bring back the option to "Request Files" in the right click menu.
