Dropbox backup does not recognize my 2nd and 3rd internal hard drives.
I am trying to backup some folders from my two data hard drives installed internally on my Windows 11 computer. Dropbox isn't allowing me to choose additional hard drives within my computer, only the HDD which is used for installed programs only, no data such as documents, pictures, music, videos, project data, etc. (that choice box is grayed out) This makes backing up the folders that regularly need to be backed up impossible and makes the backup feature useless for me. Any tips on solving this mystery?
Unable to Install Desktop App on fedora 41
I need to install the Desktop App for Selective Sync. I've downloaded the Fedora rpm and installed it. I installs a filemanager. When I click on the 'open dropbox app' the screen blinks and is redisplayed. What are the steps for installing the Dropbox app? Thanks
File Explorer automatically opens when app launches at startup on Windows
As the title says my dropbox folder in file explorer for some reason has started to automatically open every time I start my laptop / the dropbox app launches. I have not changed any settings (to the best of my knowledge) but for the life of me can't figure out how to prevent this from happening.
I get an error when selecting the sync location of my Dropbox folder on Windows.
I go to my personal account in the browser. I downloaded a new dropbox, installed it on my computer. I start logging into the application, go to the point where I need to select a folder to save. I select a folder and it gives me an error. C:erorr/dropbox errorqr24scro.txt
The desktop app UI on Linux looks old and there's no option to move the Dropbox folder.
I recently switched to Linux from Windows and was looking to have my Dropbox accessible on my desktop. I installed the app direct from the website, and the app looks like its from the early 2000's. I also like to keep a copy of my files offline, through an external desktop expansion, that is synced with the cloud. However, there is no ability (on Linux) to be able to select the sync destination on your computer to be on a different drive than your original one. The Linux version of Dropbox desperately needs to be updated with modern and basic functionalityI receive a "Permission denied" error on my macOS Dropbox app and I can't access it.
I've been having issues with opening the Dropbox app in my Mac. No problem using the browser, or accessing on my phone & iPad, but the app just doesn't open only may Mac. How can I sign into a different account on the Dropbox desktop app on Mac?
Hi, I have two accounts: one is the basic plan with a single email, and the other is an upgraded account, but for some reason, it’s linked to a different email address. I accidentally connected the basic account to Finder on my Mac, and now I can’t seem to switch it. I’ve logged into the upgraded account and downloaded the installer multiple times, but it always reverts to the basic account. I’ve also tried linking the accounts without success. At this point, I feel like I must be missing a step and could really use some help to resolve this. Thank you so much Renee
Trying to move my Dropbox folder to a larger drive with the same drive letter, but I see an error.
I have a dropbox folder on drive D: I want to replace drive D with a larger drive. I want to copy the dropbox folder from drive D: to the larger drive (temporarily assigned a different drive letter), then remove the old drive and assign the larger drive as drive D: However, my first attempt to copy the dropbox folder results in an error dialogue: 1 interrupted Action An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive thiis error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem. Error 0x80070780: The file cannot be accessed by the system [globe icon] Get started with dropbox paper Try again, skip, cancel I suppose I could unsync the folder, replace the drive, then re-create the folder on the new drive. But I don't want to go through the folder tree to select which file is cloud only and which one has a local copy. What is the easiest way to do this? OS: windows 11
