Logic Pro files disappearing
I got a new macbook (M2) and migrated from my old macbook (2019 intel). Initially I set all of my dropbox folders to online only so I could then manually select what I wanted to keep local. I have always kept my logic projects in dropbox so I never have to worry about backing up. For some reason some logic projects are disappearing from their folders. And when I sync locally they do not appear. Only the audio files, bounces, samples etc. folders remain. If I go to dropbox.com the logic project file is there. But when I download it and try any open it, it says it cant be opened! (See screenshots) I have a bunch of important work that I cannot access. What is happening here?
How to view Backup folder on DropBox app?
Greetings community! Previously, I used to be able to see my Mac represented on my Dropbox as a folder (I had enabled the backup option). This was super convenient because I could easily access my files on-the-go using my Dropbox iPhone app. However, due to a computer issue, I needed to wipe my MacBook Pro clean and reinstall everything (including Dropbox). I enabled backup for my MacBook. However, now, it doesn't show me the MacBook folder like it used to. So I can't access my files on the go. It shows me that I have backed up my files and I am able to see them through a web browser. However, the folder representing my MacBook (backup) has stopped showing on Dropbox. Is this due to some update in how backups work now for Dropbox on Mac? How do I get the backup folder to start showing up on Dropbox again. Thanks!
Dropbox Backup can't find external hard drives - Mac Ventura 13.0.1
Hi everyone, I've seen people have a similar issue but haven't found a workaround. I'm planning to backup a couple of hard drives using the Dropbox backup option. But when I use the desktop app (or try do this via browser) Dropbox doesn't show me the option to choose these drives (although they are connected and and show in Finder). Any advice for me? Hi, I just bought a Seagate HDD and I wanted to backup on dropbox. it has unlimited storage offer but when I connect, its stuck on 0%. Its 11am here and the backup should start 10:21am as activated. further it dont allow me to click BACKUP NOW. Whats the issue? Please help me find a solution.
What do you use to backup Dropbox?
I am looking for a third party solution that will backup Dropbox and I have not found any yet. One of the problems I have is that I have more than 8TB of data in Dropbox and I am told that they do not support syncing that much to a local device - therefore, a backup of the local files is not a complete solution. Have you used or heard of anything that I can look into?
