Dropbox Capture
139 TopicsAllow editing of Dropbox Capture transcription (and thus closed captions)
I am trying out Dropbox Capture. Unlike Loom, there appears to be no capacity to edit transcripts and associated closed captions. Surely I am mistaken! The ability to edit a transcript (with flow-on effects to closed captions) is integral to reliable video production. Please remedy. I won't be using DB Capture until that is done.4.7KViews7likes13CommentsPrint Screen doesn't save screenshots to dropbox anymore

When I do a screen recording using Dropbox Capture (v94.0.3), the resulting video skips and buffers upon playback. It's unwatchable. I have tried waiting for the full video to load before playing it - that does not help. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Dropbox Capture - that doesn't help. Cleared my cache too, that didn't fix it. I'm using Windows 11 on a PC, and other screen recording software does not do this (Loom, the native Microsoft screen record software, etc). The capture feature works just fine for still images so there is only a problem with screen recording. I've been using Dropbox Capture for a few months since it was in beta--this was not a problem about a month ago. Anyone have a solution?9.4KViews5likes47CommentsScreenshot File Naming Format
Hello- Out of the blue, Dropbox changed the filename format it uses when capturing and saving screenshots from a Mac. Like so many changes Dropbox made, there was no warning, there is no manual control, and it has negative impacts on workflow. The old format used to be: "Screenshot YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.SS" where the 24 hour clock was used The new format is: "Screen Shot YYYY-MM-DD at H.MM.SS AM/PM" were the 12 hour clock is used This seemingly minor change has file sorting implications. Changing the beginning of the file name had a impact on file sorting, but switching from the 24 to 12 hour clock sorts the resulting files within 12 hour blocks rather than 1 day blocks. We capture regular screenshots and archive them and finding them by exact date and time used to be no problem. Now, with the new system, files are getting mixed up. Can this either be reversed, or simply revert to the 24 hour clock but keep the additional fields? Or, best yet, GIVE THE USER SOME CONTROL??? Thank you, Dave9.8KViews4likes10CommentsUnable to edit Capture transcript
