I've used prtsc to capture my screenshots for like years now but for some reason dropbox doesn't recognize it anymore. The settings in dropbox are correct and its not a hardware problem b/c I can still press prtsc and then ctrl+v into paint.Solved41KViews6likes37CommentsUpload a Photo Album from iPhone to Dropbox
How can you upload just one photo album to Dropbox from iPhone?I would like tojust get my Favorites album uploaded to Dropbox. Is there a way to either 1. select a whole album for upload or 2. easily select all photos in an album for upload? From what I have tried, it appears I can only select one photo at a time. I have 2,400 favorite photos I want to upload to Dropbox and selecting them one at a timeis not a task I am up for. And importing to my Mac first doesn't seem to be an option either... Image Capture doesn't show albums. iPhoto wants to import all photos first (and can't because there's not enough space on my computer). iTunes doesn't show albums because iCloud is on. I could download from iCloud but then the photos lose all the date/time metadata that I need. Would appreciate any help! Thank youSolved31KViews1like5CommentsHow can i Disable or change dropbox keyboard shortcuts?
Some keyboard shortcuts in dropbox interfere with shortcuts from other programs on my pc, and i want to resolve this by turning off or changing the dropbox shortcuts. example: Dropbox uses my PrtScreen button, but so does Snagit, my preferred screen capture program. Can i override or disable Dropbox default keyboard shortcuts? thanks.Solved18KViews1like5CommentsHow do I disable or remove capture?
How do I disable or remove capture? The screenshot URLs do not work for some reason. I just want to go back to the old dropbox screenshot URLs. I've uninstalled dropbox capture and unchecked/rechecked the dropbox settings in the regular dropbox app, but my screenshot URLs still use the capture domain. Those do not work, they just return a 404, every time. Additionally, they do not unfurl in slack, and other users then have to download capture to view. This is so frustrating, how do I remove it?Solved13KViews2likes58CommentsGoogle forms with uploads to DropBox
Hi, We currently use Google forms to capture visit data from our Cleaning and GM rounds, Daily Van checks, Waste tip logs, Chemical spraying logs and Playground safety logs. We use a simple tick box check list and image uploads via a form that are all neatly sent over to a spreadsheet that shows the data in fields with links to images. All this data is downloaded once a month added to our Dropbox and shared with our clients as evidence of service. Effectivelyim looking for a way to cut out the middle man (google) and have the same forms, that provide the data, before and after images (images via a clickable link), tasks performed, and so on, via spread sheet. Exampleformhttps://forms.gle/xjFFEcR5A261Ywnu9 Spreadsheet screenshot Is there a way of importing all the forms ive already created into dropbox or can you direct me on how to build the forms from scratch? Thanks for any help in advance James12KViews0likes4CommentsI have a syncing issue due to my VPN settings. Can you help?
Hi ! It's been 2 weeks (I think) that dropbox doesn't sync when any of my VPN server are off. I don't use any weird VPN client, I just set a regular VPN, in the Win10 settings panel. Adding the VPN server adress, and done : https://image.ibb.co/k2k2Zf/Capture.png I'm pretty sure it has worked for more than a year : The dropbox sync was OK wherever any VPN was ON or OFF. The strange thing is... I tried to re-install the dropbox client, and the same thing happen with dropboxinstaller.exe cannot have access to internet if no VPN connexion is active ! Every other internet apps work normally. Firefox, Windows, Steam... Even my Nextcloud desktop client doen't care if a VPN is turned ON or OFF. It just finds its way to the internet. Anyone has the same issue ?Solved11KViews1like4CommentsDropbox iOS Conversion of HEIC Photos to JPG on Portrait Mode Photos not Viewable on Sierra
I have my iPhone set to capture HEIC, and Dropbox client set to Save HEIC Photos As JPG. If you take a "Portrait Mode" photo on the iPhone in HEIC, and have Dropbox convert this to JPG, the JPG is unviewable on a Mac running Sierra. Non "Portrait Mode" photos are viewable fine on Sierra, and Portrait Mode photos that can't be viewed on Sierra, can be viewed on High Sierra. NOTE: Portrait Mode is not the orientation of the phone, but a special mode that tries to create fake Bokeh by blurring the background through software. Hello- Out of the blue, Dropbox changed the filename format it uses when capturing and saving screenshots from a Mac. Like so many changes Dropbox made, there was no warning, there is no manual control, and it has negative impacts on workflow. The old format used to be: "Screenshot YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.SS" where the 24 hour clock was used The new format is: "Screen Shot YYYY-MM-DD at H.MM.SS AM/PM" were the 12 hour clock is used This seemingly minor change has file sorting implications. Changing the beginning of the file name had a impact on file sorting, but switching from the 24 to 12 hour clock sorts the resulting files within 12 hour blocks rather than 1 day blocks. We capture regular screenshots and archive them and finding them by exact date and time used to be no problem. Now, with the new system, files are getting mixed up. Can this either be reversed, or simply revert to the 24 hour clock but keep the additional fields? Or, best yet, GIVE THE USER SOME CONTROL??? Hi Dropbox community - I'm a design researcher here at Dropbox. I'm curious about how you access Dropbox! How do you access Dropbox: the website, the desktop app (for mac/windows), and/or the mobile app (iOS, android)? For those you use, why do you use them? For those you don't, why not? Is there anything you wish you could do on one that you can't today? Why?9.5KViews6likes11CommentsDropbox Capture screen recording skips and buffers upon playback
When I do a screen recording using Dropbox Capture (v94.0.3), the resulting video skips and buffers upon playback. It's unwatchable. I have tried waiting for the full video to load before playing it - that does not help. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Dropbox Capture - that doesn't help. Cleared my cache too, that didn't fix it. I'm using Windows 11 on a PC, and other screen recording software does not do this (Loom, the native Microsoft screen record software, etc). The capture feature works just fine for still images so there is only a problem with screen recording. I've been using Dropbox Capture for a few months since it was in beta--this was not a problem about a month ago. Anyone have a solution?9.2KViews4likes47Comments
