Hi Dropbox community - I'm a design researcher here at Dropbox. I'm curious about how you access Dropbox! How do you access Dropbox: the website,the desktop app (for mac/windows), and/or the mobile app (iOS, android)? For those you use, why do you use them? For those you don't, why not? Is there anything you wish you could do on one that you can't today? Why?
Missing a Word file I was working on, which closed and disappeared out of nowhere
I was working on a file, that closed out of nowhere and disappeared from my computer and dropbox, but when I look for it in the computer finder a version of it appears which says that Word found illegible content in the document, the thing is that it appears to be saved on my dropbox but when I go into the file under the name it is saved the document does not appear and it it s saved in FamilyDropbox but can't seem to get human assistance anywhere. H E L P please
How to quickly organize thousands of photos and videos?
I've had a Dropbox account for about 10 years. I set it up to save important documents and some select photos and videos from my phone and then pretty much went hands-off, and I don't look at it much unless I need something. Fast forward to today. It seems that my young adult kids and husband have been sending all their photos from their phones and computers (both mac and pc) to my Dropbox automatically. I have thousands upon thousands of photos and videos and college essays, etc. from at least 5 different people loading their stuff to my Dropbox. I don't mind since I am nowhere close to my 2T of space, but I would like to organize it so everyone can have their own file. The problem is that there are thousands of items over probably 8 years. It would take me months to organize this manually. Is there an app or AI feature that will do it for me? Maybe something that will "know" which computer/phone each file was uploaded from and then sort it into that person's file automatically? I want to do it for everything and then set it up going forward. Please explain like I am 5. Thanks!
EDIT Powerpoint in dropbox not working
Dear All, This is a new problem this week. After years of working on PPT files directly from DropBox (using PowerPoint for Web), this is now presenting me with a blank screen. Here is my setup: - Windows 11 - Chrome (same response on Bing) - DropBox Family Plan - I can Open the file for VIEW only Thanks!!!
