Folder Customization - Colors, Icons, and More
Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could customize our Dropbox folders to make them more visually appealing and easier to organize? I think adding more options to personalize folders could make a big difference, and I’d love to hear what others think about this idea! Here are a few features I’d suggest: Folder Colors: Imagine being able to color-code your folders—so much easier to spot what you need at a glance! Custom Icons: A simple icon, like a music note for your playlists or a book for your eBooks, could make folders feel more intuitive. This icon could be applied to the already existing folder image, or replace the folder with just an icon. Upload Your Own Images: Personalize your workspace with photos or unique images as folder covers—practical and fun! These tweaks wouldn’t just look great; they’d make organizing and navigating files so much smoother. Plus, other platforms already offer similar options, and it would be awesome to see Dropbox join in! Compressing the size or adjusting the dimensions of a file automatically
I see many new features we can use or schedule, for automatic editing of picture, some of them advanced ... but the most important and basic one is missing: RESIZE. We are affected by the crazy Apple's idea to make the picture bigger and bigger, every year bigger... I think it will be very appreciated from everyone to have this edit option in dropbox together with the others. I did something good, and advanced as I mentioned, but this one is missing. 🙋♂️
Folder automation video conversion settings for proxy media
Hi, I would like to have adjustable video encoding settings within folder automation settings. For example, I would like to have the option to be able to convert a large 4K MP4 file with a 50kbps bitrate and large file size into a more manageable proxy file at 720p with a lower bitrate of 5kbps, or any combination of resolutions and bitrates.
Edit text file in browser
Hi, it would be *really* useful to be able to edit .txt (text) files in browser. There are several threads asking for this, and it's possible in the Dropbox apps on mobile. Please support light weight text editing in browser. I can sign, save, download, upload, etc. I just want to change one word in a file without doing that. Please help! I am often on a work computer and want to edit my files in dropbox, but only option is web interface, and that doesn't have an edit feature.
