I am trying to change the email address on my dropbox account. I used to have two dropbox accounts but deleted one about 10 days ago. I am now trying to change the email on my second account to the email I used for the other account. Even after 10 days, I am still getting the error "This email address is already taken". When I try to login with that email address, it brings me to the signup page, suggesting that the email is not associated with an account. What do I need to do to be able to use this email address with my dropbox account? I misunderstood the instructions and thought my existing files would migrate to this new account. On my desktop app, I used to have both my personal Dropbox account and my work account. The work account is no longer active (it's been over 1.5 years). And now I'm trying to link a new work account but I get this pop-up msg in red "That account can’t be paired. You can only pair one work account with one personal account." When I went to unlink the old work account by following the steps here (https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/link-unlink-two-accounts), no accounts were listed. So I clicked on "Link accounts" and again it took me back to the pop-up message in red quoted above. Hi all, I have a dropbox account that uses an email address that I want to change. I have recently upgraded dropbox to a paid plan. When I try to change my email address it says that an account already exists (I did have a dropbox account with the email address I want to use but do not anymore - it was cancelled on the 2nd of October - 6 days ago).
