I'm trying to update the email address of my account, but it says it's taken.

I want to add a new email address to my account, but Dropbox says 'it is already taken'. Although I still see my old email address in my account. How can I adjust this? Because my old email address will soon expire.

That means there's already another Dropbox account which uses that email address. You would need to sign in to that account and change the email address before you could re-use that email on a different account. An email address can only be associated with a single account.

Thanks, you were right! I accidentally created a second account with this email address. Thanks for helping me!
