Here's the essence of the problem: I have DropBox Pro installed on an iPhone 5s, iPad Air, MacBook Pro and Windows desktop computer. I do NOT want to clog up my iPhone, iPad and MacBook with files from DropBox. I want to simply upload and then delete them from the mobile devices. I'd like to use automatic Camera Upload but when I delete the photos from my iPhone or iPad I do NOT want them deleted from DropBox...as has happened on numerous occasions (most recently when I exchanged a broken iPhone for a new one and then tried to copy content from one to the other and subsequently delete unwanted photos...on the iPhone, not "unwanted" from my DropBox space). So how do I do a one way sync? Keep in mind that after photos appear in the Camera Upload folder, I MOVE them to a different desired location...and when they're deleted from my iPhone, they are still deleted from the new location!Solved128KViews8likes45CommentsDropbox full because of shared folder

Hi, I've seen others with the same issue. I had promotional space added to my account. I used up quite a lot of this space. When my promotion ran out I was naturally over my quota. I then logged on online using the web interface and deleted live files. This had no effect, the amount of used space is not decreasing regardless of what I delete. I tried to permanently delete them but this also had no effect. I thought that perhaps it was because the data was kept on my sync'd devices, so I disassociated all devices, again this had no effect. I looked in depth at every support article online, nothing provides any insight or resolution beyond what I have tried and had no success with. Now either I buy more space or I can no longer upload to Dropbox. It has been weeks with no difference. I have contacted support but I get automated responses to look at their knowledge base, which I had naturally done before but tried again. No Luck. Please help. As Albert Einstein said, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.” Dropbox are sending me insane! I have one more option. Delete everything so that there is literally nothing in my Dropbox, but I would imagine given the above that it would make no difference and no one is helping!Solved13KViews3likes11CommentsDeleting dropbox files from just my computer
I use dropbox for work, but only use a select few files and can easily just go onto dropbox online to download the files I need. I had the dropbox app installed on my laptop, but hundreds of other colleages files were downloading onto my laptop and using up all of my hard drive space. I have completely unlinked and deleted the dropbox app from my laptop, but all of the files are still there in my files. Is it safe for me to now delete these files from my laptop since I have removed & unlinked the app, or will it delete the files from others' dropbox?Solved13KViews0likes6CommentsMake folder available offline on iOS
I have been waiting very patiently for the ability to make folders available offline in the iOS app. It seems Android users have this function already. It has been asked for so many times going back years and still no sign on iOS. Then I saw this post: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Space/Maximum-Size-for-an-offline-folder-on-iOS/m-p/197778 I have the latest Dropbox app on my Ipad Pro. I have Dropbox Pro, but I don't have this feature in my app. I am actually considering switching to another Cloud storage because of the lack of Offline folders, but am now confused whether it is available or not?Solved13KViews2likes18Comments
