Hi I was looking for my documents on my mac desktop and it has somehow now been linked directly to Dropbox, not my documents on my desktop mac. I cannot find any of my documents that were on my computer. In checking dropbox.com, some of the documents / folder are in Backup on dropbox for my previous Mac, but I need to stop Dropbox taking over my document folder on my current mac, and get back the docs that were happily there just a week ago. Any suggestions? thanks Jon133Views0likes1CommentWhat does it take to become eligible for File Provider on my Mac?
I don't understand why this isn't rolled out for all paying subscribers to Dropbox on Mac. I'm wondering if the lack of broad eligibility has anything to do with the fact that my offline files won't download to my drive so that they are accessible without having to individually download tens of thousands of files manually when I want to use them. I am not sure I'm getting my money's worth when the product doesn't work as expected.Solved194Views0likes4CommentsNotifications for updates on folders do not appear on my MacBook
Hi, I know that a lot of people are annoyed by constant barrage of notification banners, but i face the reverse problem. I don't see dropbox notifications on my mac (its been so for a couple of years now, but i need this fixed now). I work on a lot of collaborative projects, so tese alerts are one way to nudge me to the folders that need my attention. Notifications banners on my mac for my mail, calendar work just fine. i have checked notification preferences on the dropbox badge in the menu bar, on website, i have allowed for notifications from Dropbox when i am in do not disturb mode etc. My work around has been to manually go to the dropbox icon on the menu bar and check for activity on shared folders. I have Mac air Sonoma 14.0. On my old computer I was able to place the Dropbox folder on my desktop. With this new laptop, I am unable to change the folder location. If I go to library and find the Dropbox folder and place it on my desktop, it says I won’t be able to connect to Dropbox until I put the folder back in its original spot. How do I put the folder on my desktop?253Views0likes5CommentsHow can two users access their own Dropbox accounts on the same macOS laptop?
I need to set up a Macbook to work with multiple accounts. Two people use the laptop, they have separate admin accounts on the machine. Also the two people have 2 indipendent Dropbox Plus accounts. I need each one to be able to use their own dropbox account when loggin in on the laptop. Is this possible? Is this straighforward? Are there any cautionary steps to take? Do each user need to disconnect from his Dropbox account before handing the machine to the other person? These people have 2 separate accounts on MacOs and they don't know each other's password for accessing their user on the laptopSolved1.1KViews0likes4CommentsMicrophone not working in Dropbox Capture app
