I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and am using Office 2010. Shared links used to open when I inserted them in Word or Publisher documents. They no longer work. Links that I uploaded before the upgrade do not work. If I insert the shared link in an email, it works fine. The problem seems to be exclusive to Office docs. I cannot find any answer for this.2.4KViews0likes6CommentsWord for the Web not displaying multilevel list numbers
I am using Word for the Web for collaborative drafting with my team, and to avoid conflicted copies, as described inhttps://help.dropbox.com/view-edit/edit-microsoft-office-documents. The Word document that I created on my desktop has a multilevel list. However, when I open the document in Word for the Web, the multilevel list numbers are not showing. The numbering does show if I open the document in Reading View, but I cannot edit the document in Reading View. How do I display the automatic numbers inserted via a Multilevel List?232Views0likes1CommentWhy are files shared with me opened through a web browser?
Why are files shared with me opened through a web browser? At the same time, the files that I created (Excel, Word) are opened using Windows (Microsoft Office 2016)? What should I do so that the files shared with me can be opened using desktop version of Microsoft Office?Solved658Views0likes3CommentsWe've shared an Excel file with other users, but they can't edit it in Excel
When someone opens a dropbox excel file that has been shared with them, it seems they are not able to edit in excel, unless they download it, or save via dropbox. How would someone be able to edit the file and have it show up for everyone that the file is shared with?Solved2.3KViews0likes9CommentsLinks created on the computer and pasted in Excel don't work
Hi I have a spreadsheet that contains dropbox links. I use Excel on the web in creating and editing. When my colleague edits the spreadsheet she will use the desktop version from the "open with..." menu. When she attaches a dropbox link via the desktop version it doesn't create a valid link. I noticed that when that link is entered it has a prefix of "C:\Users\name...etc". Is it because she is using the desktop version? Does it make more sense to use the web version when creating and attaching a new dropbox link? ThanksSolved1.2KViews0likes4CommentsTemporary files are created for Office files only in the Dropbox folder

I have an access database and a set of excel files. The database links to the Excel files for data to feed the database. The output from the database is via an Excel file that links back to the database. It all works when I use it but the file references don't work for colleagues. The links are in the form C:\Users\petes\ then the drop box details. With a server I can replace the C: drive letter with the server name and share \\server\share however I don't appear to be able to do the same with dropbox. the suggested answer is to make the drives the same on all the computers that use it. So I would have to set my dropbox to be something generic C:\Databases\xxxx727Views0likes4CommentsI can't see the Excel updates of my client
Right now, I'm working with a Client who uses Dropbox for her excel spreadsheets and I've never been a fan. She requires me to make changes in the Excel file she has in her Dropbox and I am doing just that. But whenever I make a change or she makes a change in the sheet, we both can't see each other's changes and that is VERY BIG issue as we are working with real time customers and we have to contact as soon as they're on the sheet. Now, we have lost over 20 customers because of this issue and She still doesn't want to switch to any other tool (Like Google Sheet). If someone has a way to fix this. please help me out.Solved1.4KViews0likes8Comments
