I use Dropbox on an iPad in landscape orientation. I would like the left panel to expand out so I can see the full file names. Truncated names are very annoying. At least let the name wrap. Seeing ... in the name is so annoying. Google Drive does it, why not you?8.7KViews13likes9CommentsCamera upload from different phones into different folders
Hello, I have created a new folder "Camera upload Karla" where I want my wifes iPhone to automatically upload photos to. This seems not to be so easy, as Dropbox on a phone will only upload to "Camera Upload" folder. Is this correct? How can I make her iPhone upload automatically to the new folder? Hi Dropbox community - I'm a design researcher here at Dropbox. I'm curious about how you access Dropbox! How do you access Dropbox: the website, the desktop app (for mac/windows), and/or the mobile app (iOS, android)? For those you use, why do you use them? For those you don't, why not? Is there anything you wish you could do on one that you can't today? Why?9.5KViews6likes11CommentsIf I delete photos from my camera folder on my phone will they stay in Dropfox Camera Uploads folder?
Hi, I want to delete photos from my phone to get storage space back. If these have already been synced and in the camera uploads folder in my dropbox they would not get deleted by deleting them on my phone, correct?Solved41KViews5likes22CommentsMove or copy photos from iPhone or iCloud to Dropbox
I’m using the latest iOS 12 release, and the latest version of the Dropbox iOS app, on my iPhone X. I have over 7,000 photos on my iPhone; they are also synced to my iCloud. (The volume consists of pretty much every photo I’ve ever had on an iPhone, beginning with an iPhone 4S.) Having this number of photos on my iPhone has been making my iPhone quite sluggish. I tried using the Dropbox iOS app’s built-in feature to copy or move the photos to one of my Dropbox folders; but, on each attempt, the Dropbox iOS app hangs, after moving anywhere from few hundred to a couple of thousand photos. I then opened the iCloud app in Windows 10, intending to copy the photos en masse to Dropbox, then, once the move was confirmed, erase the photos from my iCloud. (I also tried this through accessing my iCloud via Google Chrome.) I can’t seem to select more than 1 photo at a time, in my iCloud photos area. As you can imagine, selecting over 7,000 photos, one at a time, is not feasible. Thank u VERY much, peeps, for any help with this! 🙂44KViews4likes3CommentsUpdating .txt files on PC doesn't update it on the Android app unless the file is renamed
Some days ago started problems with .txt files syncing between PC and Android. When changing and saving file in PC the Anrdoid DB folder shows new saving date but when opening file the content is old. Android DB is updating the file content only when changing the file name in PC. Problem seems to be on Androids side. Syncing other way from Android to PC there are no problems. Also no problem with other file formats but .txt files. Reinstalled DB both in PC and Android but no changes.Solved4.2KViews3likes8CommentsTrying to keep folder structure when backing up from phone to Dropbox
With my Dropbox subscription I setup my phone app to make backup of all my files I selected, no matter internal or external storage BUT, the problem I'm facing since I enabled this feature long time ago with different phones is that it doesn't backup the files with the same current folder structure I have in my phone, it appears in the cloud all the files in one single folder. It is possible to fix this? If not, is there a planned schedule to enable this useful feature soon? I'm in the process to migrate to a new flag mobile phone model where it doesn't comes with internal storage (currently my files are well structures in the internal SD card) and my concern is that if the mobile get very damaged (not possible to turn on) or stolen, I wouldn't be able to recover the information as Ihave in my phone within their folders structure and would be a mess to classify them all again.
