I've noticed an issue with exporting/sharing audio files over the last few months, from Dropbox into iMessage. I often share audio files for work, and I go into the app, click share, then export file. Recently when I do this my audio files are getting compressed and severely downgraded in quality. I've also noticed file size going from 8-9mb to 2-3mb. Hello! Whenever I try to attach a file saved in Dropbox from an app (for instance, WhatsApp message, or Mail app) in my iPhone (iOS 18.1), the app says my Dropbox is empty, although it is fully synced in my phone. Interestingly, from the Messages app I'm able to attach a file and if I open the Dropbox app and select to export a file to WhatsApp or Mail, it works. I've tried disabling and enabling Dropbox from the Browse option, clearing history and website data and restarting the phone, and nothing worked. Any suggestions? I'm a starting out video editor, I use drop box for transferring materials between me and my client. My first client commissioned me for a speed paint and it went very smoothly. The folder I created was synced between the 2 of us and we had equal control over the folder. My client has commissioned me again and we went through the same process. I created a folder with unrestricted access between me and my client. The client uploaded her raw video footage to the folder and I downloaded it. I was able to preview the video from dropbox just fine but when I download it, it's always an error. Things iv already tried • updated my phone (turns out I needed a a software update • check dropbox for updates • uninstall & install again ( in the same vein as turning off and turning back on) • ask my client to download the same video on her end and or let a trusted friend download it (they're having trouble as well, so I know it's not a network connection issue) • I uploaded an original video from my phone to see if it was only my clients video or if the issue is all videos ( it's all videos, pictures have no trouble) • iv restarted my phone • iv checked official reports for drop box server maintenance or server errors just to be sure. Everything is fine, so I'm confused if me, my client and my clients friend is some how doing something wrong • i went to the previous project folder bc my client has commissioned me twice now, all the videos in the previous folder are having trouble downloading too.487Views0likes1Comment
