Hey everyone, I just switched to an Android from an iPhone. I am facing a feature problem that I loved on my iPhone! Which is, if I open up an audio file from my dropbox app I can just do other stuff on my phone. On android however, it stops playing whenever I switch over to a different app. Is there a way to let it run in the background just like the iPhone? Thanks!3.2KViews1like9CommentsDropbox keeps going back to the top of the folder when scrolling via VoiceOver on iOS 18.
I am a user who happens to be blind, using VoiceOver, the screen reader for my iPhone 15 Pro. I am using the latest version of dropbox updated six days ago as of October 14. When I am in a long list of files and I touch my screen, I am able to use the usual scrolling gestures. However, when I touch the screen again after scrolling several pages of a folder, focus is lost and jumps back to the first item in the folder, several screens up. This jumping of focus does not happen in other Apps on my phone, notably mail where I have 100 or so messages in my inbox. I am running iOS 18.0.1. I do hope this issue can be addressed and fixed because I use Dropbox a lot and love it! It is a major disruption of my workflow to have the focus jump around so much that I can barely locate a file that I need and when I find it, the focus may jump to a screen much farther up from the one I'm working on. When I attempt to view the Photos tab in either theDropbox app, or on Dropbox web, it loads indefinitely. The loading bar cycles through its usual loading messages until it says “Almost there …” then loads no matter how long I wait. It is possible the issue may be due to the fact I recently removed a training data folder containing a very high number of images (~500,000) and now it's in a re-indexing loop, or something like that. It's been a week since that event. How can I fix this, so I can view all of my photos in one place again?143Views0likes1CommentBackdoor/bootleg way to download & install Dropbox on latest Kindle Fire Max 11 tablet?
I have the Dropbox app on my previous tablet, the Fire HD 10. At one time Dropbox was in the Amazon app store (analogous to Google Play store). It's not there any more. The Kindle is an Android device, but Google Play apps can't reliably be installed. I assumed I'd be able to install Dropbox on the newest Fire tablet. Not so. I spent an hour on the phone this afternoon with an Amazon CSR who ultimately told me that if an app isn't in the Amazon app store, you can't install it. Even though the Dropbox app is in my Amazon app library, I still can't download/install it on the new tablet. But I wouldn't expect him to know of a secret way to do it, or if he did know, to tell me. I can log in to Dropbox.com on the Kindle's Silk browser, but when I try to open a "paper," I get a message to download the app. 🙄 Yeah, that's what I'd like to do. I do have a Dropbox Plus paid subscription. It would be great if I could somehow transfer the app from my older Kindle to the new one. Can anyone help?279Views0likes4CommentsUsing Paper App on new iPad and Folders option won’t show up in dropdown on main page
Installed Paper app on new iPad and the Folders option won’t show up on dropdown menu when I try to create a new Folder. I can see my docs, but not the usual option to access Folders or Docs or All. Any insights?230Views0likes6CommentsMy ebooks don't sync to my pocketbook Dropbox folder.
I used to be able to synchronise ebooks from dropbox on my phone to dropbox on my pocketbook. Starting from yesterday is doesn't work anymore. De pocketbook folder on my phone contains an ebook. But the folder on my pocketbook remains empty, after several times of synchronising. I have tried logging of my dropbox account on my pocketbook and starting again. But nothing helps.218Views0likes4CommentsDropbox stopped working on iPad, deleted and reinstalled, will not login.
On my iPad, I could not sign in to dropbox and use it as I have been for the last several years. I kept getting a spinning circle telling me it was trying to sign out. I close the app, then reopened it, same thing it would not log out so I could log back in again. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and now it will not allow me to log back in. It says my provided user information is not valid. I know I have the email and password correct I used it on another device. Any known issues?Solved519Views0likes8CommentsHow do I see files uploaded via "Dropbox Backup" on my iPhone?
On my Mac in addition to the regular Dropbox folder, I also have my Desktop and Documents folder syncing to Dropbox. That's all fine, but I don't see how I can see/access those files from the Dropbox iPhone app. Can this be done?
