Do any of you know how to stop the VERY annoying pop-up notifications that Dropbox app on Mac keeps on showing every few minutes when you are running low on storage? This is very annoying and I could not find any info on how to disable this specific notification, as there is no option for that under Preferences/Notifications. Thank you.Solved9.9KViews3likes11CommentsMy Folder is Empty, yet it says it's full.
I have absolutely NOTHING in my folder, yet it says it's full whenever I try to drag something to it. I have the basic version. I share with someone who has the 1TB program and he has A LOT of stuff in his. But... That is HIS Folder, it is NOT MY FOLDER. So If this is the reason (which after reading a few other posts, I get the feeling that it might be), this is a total and complete BS program. How the hell am I supposed to control what other people do and have in their folders. MY folder is empty, that should be the ONLY criteria of whether or not my "DropBox Is Full." Could someone please explain why my folder is proclaimed full if it is other than what I posted above? Thank you in advance.Solved6.5KViews0likes8CommentsOver storage limit
Hi! Dropbox has been sending me emails to upgrade my account. It seems that I am over the storage limit. Please can someone tell me how to check this out so that I can get back to the amount of storage that is available to a free account? Many thanks, JanzSolved5.9KViews0likes22CommentsExpiry notifications that files will expire in 2 days, why is that?
I'm getting a notification saying my files expire in two days. I don't have any bonus space just a basic account of 2GB. There is 785 MB of stored files in my account. I thought this service was for storage and can't understand why anything under the 2 gb limit would expire. Does it disappear? Very disappointing if so. Notifications don't pop on my computer so I wouldn't have even known had I not checked the account. Ps I should add I've searched the help files and the community here but there doesn't seem to be any reference to the issue.Solved4.2KViews0likes9CommentsFalse storage warnings via email
Lately, Dropbox has been emailing to say that my free 2 GB account is half full, and that now might be a good time to upgrade to a paid plan. Having thoroughly combed through every square inch of my Dropbox account, I can confirm that I have no files in storage, nothing in my "Deleted Files" folder, and no files lurking on my "Backup" page. My account is empty, in other words......and still, the storage warnings keep landing in my email inbox. (For the record, my email address exactly matches the email address in my Dropbox account settings.) What remedy? Thanks.Solved2.1KViews0likes6CommentsLimited space warnig although plenty of GB left
Hi 2u all!🤗 Why do I get emails (and popup messages when accesing Dropbox through my browser) telling me "There's limited space available in your Dropbox", "Your files are about to stop syncing", "Here's access to up to up to 3 TB (3,000 GB) of space." and so on, if I have just 16,51 GB usedof 20,25 GB available? Emails look like this: And my account has still unused space (plenty for my needs) The image to proove it: I mention I have the free 2GB plan, but increased my Dropbox sise to todays 20.25 GB trough multiple referral during the years I use it. Should I simply ignore them?...🙄Solved1.4KViews0likes2CommentsWhy do I get this kind of threatening email from Dropbox that I'll lose access to my files?
I get this email almost daily: "Eligibility confirmed: NAME, you'll lose access to your files if you don't act soon!" I have 1,7 / 2.0 GB on my free storage. What do you mean by this message? I'm no native speaker, but this "you'll lose" is factual statement to me. But how can this be correct as I'm roughly 10% below my max. quota. How can you state something like this? Is this some kind of harassment towards me to make me buy more storage? Please confirm, Do I lose access or not? If the size of the data remains as is?Solved1.3KViews1like8Comments
