127 Topics"Can't import photos from this device" pop up: add "don't show this again" checkbox
this request is due to a nuisance: i use dropbox to backup the pix from my phone. this popup appears every time i connect the phone to the computer, while the phone is locked. sometimes this pop up appress again a few minutes later for no apparent reason or trigger. connecting my phone might mean i just want it charged, i don't always require an immediate file transfer. the pop up is intrusive and stays on top of everything else. this pop up has no easy closing button (just the system's red dot), and the only options suggested are to "Get mobile app" (which i have, so who's dumb now?!) and "Why dropbox can't import" which leads to your website. but I KNOW ALL THAT, AND I SIMPLY DON'T NEED MY PHOTOS IMPORTED RIGHT NOW. i really do not need this annoying pop up screen. customer support has led me here. please consider letting me dismiss this pop up forever. love and peace, yaneev529Views1like2CommentsSync Status Notification
Hi I am wondering if someone can help me turn off a notification that comes onto my screen (sometimes on the bottom of the screen, sometimes right in the middle). It is continuous throughout the day - sometimes every few seconds. I have a Sync Status Notification that says: Sync status. These files are online only. To open them, first move them into your dropbox folder. It seems to be more frequent when I also have OneDrive open - my work uses OneDrive and no option but to use it. Does anyone know how to permanently disable this notification? I can turn it off for short periods by snoozing notifications. But I'd like to get rid of it completely. Under Dropbox "Your activity" on my Mac, when a normally "hidden" file is synchronized (e.g. files in a "dot" folder, like .syncfolder), it appears briefly in the "TODAY" section, then disappears. Is there any way to always show all files synced, including "hidden" files? I can't recall when this started happening, probably with the latest big upgrade.367Views0likes9CommentsStop all "Activity in shared folders (weekly digest)" emails for all members/team
As an admin, i need to turn off the "Activity in shared folders (weekly digest)" emails. I know, as a user, my team can do this (Account > Notifications > deselect "Activity in shared folders (weekly digest)") I need to do it as an admin for the whole team/company. Is there any way?Solved988Views0likes3CommentsTurn off Dropbox Transfer notifications and emails
Hello, I am sick of the torrent of emails and red badges reminding me that I just created a transfer, someone downloaded the transfer I sent them to download, or the transfer is expiring etc. I want to turn off all of these emails with a toggle in the app. The numerous other posts and requests about this issue (dating back to the late 2010's) have gone unresolved, so I'm adding my voice here. Please prioritize fixing this problem! Or hire me to come and add the code in your backend real quick! This new version of Dropbox really has me confused! I was used to a simple relationship with it. I knew how to upload something to Dropbox and download it on another device elsewhere. That sort of thing. However, this new version has added this feature where pop-up/dropdown menus seem to be everywhere and appearing all the time. They're not only annoying as hell, but they’re often in the way, blocking some of the basic functions I'm using in an app. That said, can someone tell me how to turn these things off? I haven't been able to figure it out as hard as I've tried.Solved2.1KViews0likes7CommentsAnnoying popup on the website to resubscribe
I keep getting a large popup that says: "Welcome back, (name)! We noticed that your subscription has ended. Resubscribe now to not miss out on advanced productivity features and 2,000 GB or more of space." I have the free Basic plan and want to keep using it. I am NOT near my storage limit (only at 650 MB out of 2.25 GB). The popup keeps coming up, even though I select Basic as my plan. Is there a way to stop these annoying popups? FYI, the popup is when I access dropbox.com in my browser on my laptop, not on mobile devices.1.1KViews0likes6Comments
