Accidentally merged into Business team
Hello, Earlier today we received a pop-up, with the option to add another Shared Folder to our Dropbox. As we are a business in project management, we have many shared folders with our partners and accepted this folder. The pop-up only came with one option and that was to combine. However, this folder has combined our Dropbox with the other teams folder, and now our entire Dropbox folders (even folders we are a member of that are shared from other clients) is merged under theirs. It seems that they do not have access to our folder or our other shared folders. However, our Dropbox name has changed however to the name of the Shared Folder and it seems like we are under their account. Is there anyway to undo this combined sync, as we cannot have our business account merged to another. We just want to undo this action and restore our Dropbox to what it was prior to the invitation acceptance. Thank you710Views2likes2Comments
My personal account was accidentally merged into a Business Account
I have a personal Dropbox account for my work as a journalist. My business partner created a new Business Account and invited me to join only to access certain files. When I went to accept the system asked to "merge" the accounts and not understanding what that meant, I clicked yes. Then Dropbox notified me that my personal account was closed and they were refunding me my fee. How do I extricate myself from this? I do not want to own the Business Account or have that for my own Dropbox, I only need access to it. How do I restore my Personal account and revive the subscription? The person who created the new business account says it was a mistake, but doesn't know how to fix it and one can't "call" Dropbox, nor is there a way to change accounts. All of my Dropbox Personal Files Now within a Team Folder
Hello, This evening I accepted an invite to what I thought was a shared folder from a colleague. Worryingly, my Personal files now exist within this team folder. I'm worried that others may be able to see my personal files (I have a dropbox Personal account) and furthermore I can't exit the team. I just want my personal files back as they were, rather than in a sub folder of a team organisation, and I'm now concerned that when i'm removed from this Team all of my personal files will disappear. How do I leave a team in Dropbox? According to instructions one should: Sign in to dropbox.com. Choose your work account at the bottom left. Click the button by your team name: Groups and members or # members. Click Leave team. But when going to "groups and members" in my account, I can see the team, but there is no option to leave it.
