You might see that the Dropbox Community team have been busy working on some major updates to the Community itself! So, here is some info on what’s changed, what’s staying the same and what you can expect from the Dropbox Community overall.

25 TopicsPaper docs tree of folders
We started to use a paper for our team wiki, but when you have several categories and lots of docs/permitions, its hard to orient in data layers. Tree of it will be great 👍 Guys from https://www.notion.so made a good job on that, but they are to expensive for us at the moment.31KViews98likes41CommentsMake a copy of a whole folder that is used as a template.
One function that is needed in Paper is the ability to duplicate folders and files. A huge part of functionality for me, in Evernote, is that I develop a template folder with a multi-note structure. I then duplicate that template whenever I need. This functionality is sorely needed in Paper. I currently see no way for me to take a folder and copy it within Paper.28KViews36likes16CommentsMake TAGS editable or deletable from master list, please
Through weeks of tagging thousands of my portrait photos, I've changed my tags to better flow and group by category, but the old tag names are still popping up as options. I would like those gone as options. It would be great to see a master list of tags, and from therebe able to manage (edit, delete) tags from a master list, not just from individual files. Thanks for considering!12KViews48likes24CommentsCreate new paper doc in same folder
Currently, the default behavior when creating a new doc from within an existing one in Paper 2020 is to save the new doc in the root folder. To save it in the same folder as the doc from which it was created required a second, explicit step. This complicated using Paper to create a knowledge base for a team that is working in a shared folder. A better default behavior would be to create new docs in the same folder as the original doc from which they were created. Thanks for listening.11KViews4likes4CommentsToo many docs, folders not cutting it - need top level Spaces/Notesbooks/Projects (something)
I have lots and lots of notes spanning many many topics. Folders are somewhat helpful for organization, but it would be really nice to have some higher level of separation similar to 'Spaces' in Confluence, or 'Notebooks' in Evernote. Each 'space' could have its own folder hierarchy, but would isolate its contents from all other spaces in the UI. This feature would also open up the possibility of expanding Paper's Templates to collections of documents and folders.5KViews5likes8CommentsMove Folder or Files from one project to another
Hi I love this service! Its useful and easy to use! But I noticed its not possible tomove Folder or Files from one project to another. I created a lot of files and folders, we already got some comments there and versions, and realized that its not in the correct project. Would be awesome and apriciated if you please add this feature asap. Thank you in advance!2.6KViews7likes5CommentsProvide us with a way to organize our Starred files
Please add the ability to organize starred folders. When I go to my favorite folders they’re listed in the order they were added. There’s no way to organize them. I downloaded a 3rd party app that allows me to organize them within their app, but the Dropbox app as no such feature.1.4KViews0likes8CommentsAdd option to auto-delete original file after it's been converted via automation
I have automation set up on a folder to convert all .heic to .jpg. However after the conversion, there's no way to automatically delete the original .heic and just keep the new .jpg. Thus I'm wasting a lot of space on duplicate images, and have to manually go in and delete the heic's. Could Dropbox add an option to the automation workflow to delete a file after it's been converted?1.3KViews6likes4CommentsDefault setting option for sender name to be included in naming convention for file requests
Greetings! I noticed that there is an option to not include sender's name to the file for each file request, but since I create hundreds of file requests, it takes a long time to turn it off for each request. Me and my colleagues would really appreciate it if we had an ability to set this option as a preference for all new created file requests. Thanks in advance.1.3KViews2likes3Comments
