I urgently need to upgrade my plan because I am out pf storage, but this "Your plan and billing information are managed externally" is the message I receive when I try to upgrade. I have found which of my google accounts my subscription is connected to in the Google play store, but there I am only able to unsubscribe or resubscribe from my existing plan. The button to "manage" my subscription there only gives me the option to change my payment method. I literally am willing to give you (Dropbox) more money in the form of upgrading so it's extremely infuriating to not be able to. I am considering switching to a different cloud storage host other than Dropbox if I cannot get this fixed before April 2nd (when my subscription supposedly renews). Please advise.7Views0likes1CommentLoyalty program to redeem points to reduce subscription fee
I'm very surprised that a 7 billion dollar market cap publicly traded company doesn't have this already. Other companies do so why not this one? Basically every year that you're with Dropbox on a paid subscription you get points that you can redeem for dollars off of your subscription. That way there can be loyalty points involved and more LTV for Dropbox. As everyone knows there are a lot of places where we can store data but Dropbox is the best. Let's please make a loyalty program and by doing that Dropbox will be seeing more revenue that way but also we as customers would be also getting a benefit from it as well. So a win win win situation Thank you in advance.38Views0likes3CommentsCan we have a smaller individual plan?
i joined dropbox back in the 90's just after it was conceived. now in my late 70's the basic fee is too high. i manage by a combination of free google accounts, an old drop scheme and micro sd cards. for genuine retirees please have a 0.5 tb scheme at an affordable fee !?26Views0likes2CommentsI accidentally created a new Dropbox account with Google and I can't access my Plus plan.
I'm having trouble with my subscription being downgraded from DropboxPlus to DropboxBasis. Because the amount of data in DropboxPlus is more than allowed in DropboxBasis, my subscription is no longer accessible. I myself have not ordered for downgrading. The cause seems to have started because a new app – which I tested – wanted access to the "Plus" subscription. I probably accidentally pressed the Google button for the necessary login, which eventually created a new account (the email address of the original DropboxPlus account is not the email address at Google). Not much later I received an email reporting the downgrading. I admit that this led to a lot of stress in the expectation that there might be little left of the stocks. I then investigated whether I could fix this and do not rule out that this has led to wrong (payment) actions. I contacted Dropbox about this and got a ticket. I did have a reaction but I couldn't do much with it. It also became clear that my account type will not immediately lead to further substantive action. I just had to figure it out. In itself, figuring it out is okay, but if you don't master the English language and have to rely on machine translations, you won't get much further. I was able to disconnect the newly created account from Google and give my own passwords. So it could be removed. Still my original account remains inaccessible ....... And...... In the meantime, I see two mutations on my bank account today. A debit and a refund. I would like to know what the status is of both the original and the new account but how…….102Views1like9CommentsWhat's the best Dropbox plan to make sure my video doesn't have limited playback?
Hello, I would like to host a video on Dropbox that I will add to my website and loop the playback. The video is short - 10 seconds. This website page will be opened about 300 times a day and the same number of times the video will play. Can you please tell me which plan I should choose so that I won't be limited in video playback?27Views0likes4CommentsI'm paying for a Plus plan, but it shows like I'm still on Basic.
I have a Plus account but used to have a basic account. I am being charged for the plus but when I sign in I get to a basic account and there is no support. I entered the billing information and it did not recognize it even though I was clearly billed. How do I get help to sort this out? I have been down this road before and while I have been using Dropbox for about 15 or more years, am still confused by the newer offerings for project folder access via teams, etc. We are also very much at a point where we need to understand the best / economical options for our small firm. Am looking for a Dropbox user interface structure that has 1 administrator that can share project folders (individual or all) with up to 3-4 users, and that can grow if needed. Individual users have their own company email for sign in. It would also be beneficial to turn-on and off (ie not pay constant rate) for occasional consultants needing access to individual project folders to collaborate. It would also still be useful to share individual files or folders to outside users. We currently have an Essentials Plus account with 2TB of storage - we only use about 10% of this. There is a "Family Plan" which allows up to 6 users for around $200 per year and then there is a Business Plus which allows 3 users (or more) at $180 a pop per year. The $200 dollar option seems like it would be awesome given the price, but I'm sure there is a catch. Some help in sorting this out or any advice would be much appreciated.44Views1like8CommentsAdding extra space to a professional account without upgrading to business
I am currently a professional account holder with 3TB of storage space, I am 500GB away from running out of space. As a creative I work with large file sizes and I was looking to upgrade to get a few more TB of storage. My only option is to upgrade to a Business Account, which would be fine, however you need to have a minimum of 3 licences which makes it very expensive for 2 extra TB which the Standard packages offers, I use the dropbox transfer tool almost every day so ideally I would be on the Advanced plan so I have have the same transfer limit of 100GB transfer limit which I get with Professional. Currently I pay around £15 per month for my package, currently if I want 2TB extra I would need to pay £30 per month and get less services than I do now or £45 per month to get what I really need. which is an increase of £30 per month which is excessive. Why doesn't Dropbox allow to increase storage space without needing to but licences which are not needed. As a long term customer of over 10 years who uses the service every day I am getting to a point where will need to make a decision to leave Dropbox and go to an alternative provider of which there are many to to choose from. For example: - IDrive offer 10TB for $3.98 a month pCloud offer 10TB for $3.95 a month I need to do more research on this but Apple, Google and probably Amazon will offer similar services, the only thing stopping me at the moment is the hassle of transfering all my data across. But I will do it if needed. Please Dropbox you are currently alienating what will be a big proportion of your loyal customer base. Sort it out!Solved8.2KViews2likes23CommentsAllow a personal account to have more than 3 TB, or more than 4 TB with the add on
Hello, I'm a graphic designer with over 15 years of workload. This obviously equates to extreme files sizes. I was disappointed to learn Dropbox don't offer a package for single users over 3TB. I work solely and require more cloud space and don't want to have to upgrade to a 'per user' plan as this isn't cost effective. This option has to become available soon.57KViews169likes204CommentsI'm using a Professional plan. Do I have another option to upgrade, other than a Business one?
Hi folks, I'm using Dropbox Professional, with 3TB worth of space that I'm told is almost used up. Unless I'm mistaken, I don't have the option of simply adding another one or more terabytes of space to give me more room. It seems I have no alternative to jump up to a Business account, but I'm a team of just one person and don't want to add more users. Do I have to pay for three users on a Business account even if there's only one active user (me), or can I still fly solo but have all the extra storage such accounts provide>?
