There is a folder that our band members use to sync songs, images, lyrics, etc. It recently turned up completely empty for all of us, on our devices and on dropbox.com. None of us remembers having done anything, let alone having deleted everything. What can we do to get our files back? I have just tried to share a folder with dropbox to another account and the folder has simply disappeared. It doesn't show in the online directory. It doesn't come up when I look for deleted files either, so I assume it is still there somewhere. This is an important folder and I'd like to get it back. I can select multiple photos and videos at once... but I can't figure out how to move them all into the shared folder at the same time. Am I missing something? Hi everyone, I tried to share a large folder (about 10T), and it took very long to finish. While the sharing was ongoing, I deleted some files in it, and when I tried to access the folder again on the Dropbox website, it said the folder didn't exist. The folder is still on my computer and I am pretty sure that I didn't delete it entirely. I checked the deleted folder on the Dropbox website and it's not there. I compile/update a Dropbox table of contents for a club I belong to. Subfolders and files used to be co-mingled together in alpha order within the main folders. How do I delete a file someone I don't know shared with me? Someone shared a video with me and it's in my account. There are not options to delete, hide, or remove it. I don't recall getting a notice - I just came looking for another file and there it was. How do I get rid of it. It's labeled as "Shared with You". It doesn't show that it's any particular folder. It has a checkbox on the left but no option to delete or hide or anything. The ... ellipse menu only has options to download or Save As (file type). It's a whopping 845.35MB "Truancy Video English.MP4" with some judge reading the truancy law!!??? It's disturbing that someone can park this file in my folders and I not know about it or be able to do anything about it. File Info gives the date of 3/1/2024 and the file size. To reiterate: I didn't share a file, it was shared with me by someone I don't even know. I just searched for all .MP4 files and this one was included, it's not in a folder and it can only be found by searching the title or .MP4. I created a Dropbox and numbered the files so they would stay in order. However, when people access the shared link they aren't in numerical order? Instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 it's 1,10,11,12,2,3,4,5....? How do I fix this weirdness?248Views0likes1Comment
